Mongoose Mutant Kids BMX Style Boys Bike, 16-in. Wheels, Kids Ages 3 - 5, Black & Orange

I'll carefully read reviews for several days on several products before purchasing just about anything. After narrowing down, I was prepared to assemble this cool Mongoose since deemed easy. I did a pick up order. To my surprise, a young lady wheeled it out fully assembled :) My little one was so excited. It looks amazing. Quality is awesome. No complaints from us! He loves the handle/foot brake options and colors. 4 y/o, 1/4 of a foot away from being 4' tall. Glad I got this size and not one up, it'd be too heavy. It's a really good idea to have your littles sit or stand by sizes to be sure. We walked by and were ‘just looking at cool bike designs' (needed to see 16” vs 18” vs 20”). Surprised him soon after :)

Very easy to assemble. Took me 10 minutes. My son loves it and the quality seems to be good for a kids’ bike. It is surprisingly heavy which helps with stability. The coaster brakes and hand brakes help to teach both ways of stopping. Overall the bike is a good value and we are very pleased thus far. We were looking at several cheaper models (by about $20) but the reviews were poor so we decided to go with this one. Glad we did!

Sharp looking bike. Looks better in person. The shipping was fast and easy. Was easy to put together. My son loves it. He is 6 yrs old, about 3'7" and he weights 41 lbs. The bike is a.perfect size for him. The only bummer is I wish this size bike came with a kick stand.

I got this mountain bike for my 5-yo daughter and she loves everything about it - the black and orange color theme, front and rear handlebar brakes, the not obnoxiously loud training wheels, and the smooth ride. Our family goes out on rides every day around the neighborhood and on the weekends, we visit a new bike trail around Orange County. In addition to smooth roads, the bike has been able to handle dirt and grassy trails very well as well. Thanks to the triple braking system, my daughter feels confidant and safe going down steep slopes and hills. Having a good braking system is very important and I'm glad Mongoose has put on some competent front and rear side-pull brakes. She loves riding her bicycle and is currently practicing to transition over to two wheels. When that day comes, I'll buy a kickstand and attach it to this bike. The only negative about this bike is the way the seat is attached to the seat post. Instead of using a metal clamp system, the seat is just glued onto the seat post, not allowing me to install her wider and better-cushioned third-party bicycle seat. I guess I could use brute force to hammer off the seat but I'll hold off on doing that until my daughter complains about soreness; it's been so far, so good. Compared to similarly-priced kids' bicycles, I like that the handlebar and front stem have relatively larger diameters, making it simpler to install her bike accessories (e.g., front bike light, electronic horn switch, front LED light). Overall, we're quite happy and satisfied with this bike from Mongoose and I rate it 4.5 stars. It gets minus half-star for not having a seat removal clamp.

Easy assembly of wheels and handlebars. Box arrived damaged through shipping and a bit disappointed as their is a crease/mark on the vinyl seat

It took a little less then an hour to assemble. My nephew loves it... , and i push it from to to time , to check its smoothness... and its great.. I highly recommend

We got this for our Grandson's 5th birthday. He loves it! It's very bright, The orange and black really pop. I think it's a little on the heavy side. We didn't need the training wheels, I wish it had a kickstand so he didn't keep dropping it to the ground. Overall we are very satisfied.

was missing a bolt strate out of the box. and the brake doesnt work right. spent extra so it would be better qualty and amd the cheap on her had before is a better bike.

That being said, imagine my surprise when I ordered a bike for my grandson's 5th birthday and it was not in a box it was thrown on their lawn and bent the rim. I am so ashamed Walmart has always been more professional than that. Such poor customer service.
