I am very happy with this Lord I no longer eat oil or gluten and have cut way back on sugars. I make pretty much everything homemade at home. I am feeling so much better taking this journey and the lard is perfect because it has a higher heat factor ability. Back in the old days is what we use with lard and that's coming in full circle back to tell us that's what we should've always been doing butter and lard and other animal fats.
Morrel Snow Cap is the only lard I used for my delicious NM biscochito cookies. They are melt in your mouth crispy and flavorful. My tortillas are so tender and flavorful. I have used this brand for over 20 years.
Morrell lard is light, with the right texture, and makes lighter, fluffier, and better tasting biscuits than other brands I've tried! I highly recommend this product!
I use this large to make suet for my birds and they seem to enjoy it! It melts very easily and of course the price is great
Not used for food consumption but instead in old fashioned soap making. Makes amazing soap bars.
Best brand for biscochitos.
Only problem driver didn't knock on the door
Great lard for frying without seed oils and delicious. Makes awesome tortillas. Inexpensive compared to other frying oils.
Too hard to use in a block and put back up
Been around for as long as man been cooking, lard has added its filler to all typesof meals. BHT%26BHA are toxic additives that do not protect food, FOOD THAT ALREADY HAD ITS FORTIFIED, IMPURITIES REMOVAL PROCESS BY LARDS REFINEMENT. McDonald's sounded the alarm at the fda in 1985, when fda enforced the toxic additives as standard; McDonald's stop using lard for its fries. BHT%26BHA ARE (epoxy) POLYPHENOL(S) : RUBBER. LATEX RUBBER ADHESIVES. Its just like citric/asorbic acid.. those bath salts epoxy are a crystaline base. All of those additives coat an acrylic substance over molecules and cause toxic buildup in body... INDUSTRIAL SOLVENT. Should not be in food nor consumer products. deteriorated the product. pasteurization, impurity removing process...DOES NOT NEED PERSERVATIVES, DUHH!! FDA was established to fortify NUTRITION.. WHY DID IT START ADDING TOXICITY IN LATE 70s... When all these useless toxic, caciogenic additives were ENFORCED. THIS product would be perfect without the toxin in there... People have to be a basic chemist to feed thier family these days. Morell needs to take purity propf to fda and file antitrust suit for enforcing toxcity in thier product. i had intended to use this in product other then food but cantnow. sorry for the history and chemistry lesson on this, but really tired of industrial solvents in food, enforced by people i pay taxes too ... AND YOU SHOULD BE TOO!
