A little bit goes a long way. I use this to brighten anything that can dull or get dingy. Use on sheets, hair, whites, etc. Dilute according to instructions.
I've been using bluing agent with my whites for decades. Blue is the opposite of yellow on the color wheel, Mrs. Stewart's laundry whitener works to overcome the yellowing of our dingy laundry. This product really does perform as advertised by visually brightening up whites. Container seems to be bottomless, as it lasts for a very, very long time, adding only a few drops to the water in your clothes washer before adding laundry.
I have been looking for a product to whiten some T-shirts and I recalled that years ago people would use bluing for that purpose. I added a quarter teaspoon to my whites and the results are amazing. My whites are brilliant like I never was able to achieve with bleach. At a quarter teaspoon per load the bottle will last forever, and at $8.25 per bottle it is a true bargain. As it turns out, bluing is almost impossible to find and completely unavailable in local stores. Very grateful to have found it here.
Used to whiten vintage linens; just followed directions on label . Was very pleased with results when soaked a few small items overnight with bluing %26 laundry soap.
I'm in shock! I can not believe it actually works! I have white towels so dingy %26 yellow they looked like they came over with Columbus when he discovered America, embarrassing dingy but still good and thick. Washed my whites in oxiclean %26 gain really well then filled the washer and let it all soak in this stuff. I'm blown away. It also works great for white sinks, toilets, showers, anything white that needs bright again. Make sure you follow the directions!!
My 82 year old mother swears by the use.
Spills when opened. Doesn't make any difference in whiteness. Stains the sink and countertop. As my mom would say, “it's crap”
Ordered the item and the package arrived opened and empty. Requested a refund from WalMart and explained the details. Have not received a refund or any feedback.
I used this product just as it directed, and it didn't whiten my white garment.
It did not whiten my clothes. :(
