OxiClean White Revive Laundry Whitener and Laundry Stain Remover Powder, 3 lb

I got this as an alternative to bleach for my whites. It is cleaner and doesn't bleach out everything that comes in contact with it. It seems to work really well at keeping my husbands white crew socks white, which is no easy task. It is great for my white bedding.

I have to say, it works! I'm a bit late to the party, but I'm glad I finally tried it. One tip I discovered is that pre-soaking my shirts in a bucket of warm water for a few hours (the longer, the better) significantly improved the results. In fact, I'd estimate I was able to remove about 97% of the armpit stains. Keep in mind, these shirts had been stained for quite some time before I treated them with OxiClean, so I was impressed with the outcome. What I've learned is that patience truly pays off with these products. Simply tossing some OxiClean into the washing machine drum can help, but the real magic happens when you let the garments soak in warm water with the product for a few hours beforehand. That extra step makes all the difference and delivers much better stain removal. Highly recommended for stubborn stains and for those willing to put in a little extra time.

I am 68 years old and I only wash a very small white load by hand because it's so small including my white sneakers. but lately the bleach has been making my hands raw and sore so I needed a bleach alternative. so I got on to the Walmart store site and I put in bleach alternative and it came up with this one. I wanted the powder so that I can make a paste and put it on the shoes and scrub them with a brush. you don't need to do that soak them in hot/warm water along with your laundry soap and a very small amount of the bleach alternative. my shoes came out so white. I don't think they were that white when I first bought them brand new. I highly recommend this for anybody who is sensitive to bleach or just cannot stand the smell of bleach anymore get this and use it you will not be disappointed...

I'll start by saying this stuff works - especially when for dye transfers onto white clothing. I didn't know there was a vitamin in the pocket of a white shirt in a load of whites; it dissolved in the wash, turning everything pale yellow. Many people recommended OxyClean White Revive. Here's what I did: 1. Dissolve 2 cups of Oxi in a large bowl with HOT water. 2. Start the washer, fill to half on hot, then stop the cycle. 3. Pour the Oxi/water mix in, add the clothes, stir. 4. Soak for 30 min - 2 hours, stirring clothes every 20 min or so. 5. Select the Spin/Drain cycle on the washer. 6. Repeat if needed. 7. Run the regular cycle with 2 rinse cycles - Oxi scent is strong. MY WHITES ARE WHITE AGAIN!!!

I love this product. It is great for whites and light colors. No more yellowing whites like bleach does! You take a small amount in the provided scoop and add it directly to the clothes in the washing tub. Clothes come out fresh and crisp. It does have a nice mild scent as well.

I am a paramedic and wear white uniform shirts and using this I am able to keep my white shirts crisp and brand new looking. Doesn't dye any colors on my patches comes off clean leaves the shirts feeling brand new. It will remove stains from the shirts I've had pen stains grease stains blood stains throw up stains and your all other EMS stains it removes it without any pretreatment! By far the best product I've ever tried!

Soaking severely stained dark colored clothing items for 6 hrs. or more(overnight) using hot water and Oxi clean white revive for whites, removed even dried in stains. A couple of denim items with dried in stains required a second overnight soaking with hot water and Oxi clean white to completely remove the stains. I have not yet tried using on stained white items or stained items in cold or warm water.

I'm writing this review strictly for how it leaves your whites smelling. OMG, I buy Tide hygienic, dryer sheets, scented balls, you name it. However, nothing leaves my clothes smelling as good as this. I bought it to brighten my white comforter back up, I made a mistake of washing during the time the water company was doing a hydrant flush so I needed something desperately. I would say it got it back to about 95% of it's white glory days. I took off a star for the price because you still have to use detergent. IF the price was less I would definitely use it with every wash just for how good it makes your items smell. By far the cleanest, freshest smell. Especially if your sensitive to strong smells this is the middle ground wonderland..
