My Passport 4TB Blue

Easy to use. Plug n play. I like its portability and 5TB memory capacity to hold photos from my cellphone. I plug it directly to my cellphone usb c port. I bought 4. 2 black and 2 white.

I love my Western Digital My Passport 6 TB backup drive w/ 256-bit AES hardware encryption! This is the second Passport drive I have had (the previous one was 5 TB). They were both very easy to set up and very fast when connected via a USB-3 port to my Dell Latitude 7450 computer. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat!

This back-up drive is great for my photography catalogue. It is quick, quiet and has excellent storage for the data that I transfer to it.

The My Passport 5TB is what I needed and is an impressive portable hard drive.

I have a Raspberry Pi running OSMC (and other services) that I use as a portable media center. My new 6TB Passport provides a lot of portable media storage for that rig. I've only had it a few months so far but it's working great.

Besides not including the “hyper speed usb-c to usb 2.0” adapter, no issues so far actually . Huge packaging not sure why but it seems like it's still a “Newer” model . Honestly if I had the choice I'd go with the “plus” wd 5TB but this one is compatible with the hyper speed adapter that's IF you already have one . The color matches my ps5 I got for my birthday so really it's nice I compare it side by side visually to the “plus” wd 5TB model %26 seems the same . I'd have to test the speeds but it's plug and play basically . It reads on my ps5 so it's good enough for me . Anyways only issue I had it did not state that it didn't have that hyper speed adapter and I'm guessing either they just have different names but it's still good enough besides not describing fully the product I got this because the “plus” model was out of stock everywhere. I'm happy for the price I got it for . Sorry I don't have more pics atm cos I'm replacing my other external and using this on my ps5. Matches the color and looks cooler and besides that I'd get this if I coudlnt get the “plus” model both 5 TB. I'm a die hard gamer so I'm set

I've owned several of this over the years. A couple died after a few years of use. I just find it strange that Walmart has these in stock for about 45 dollars more yet it's been out of stock at Sam's for months. Curioser, curioser.

Product came with damaged case and there were scuffs on the item and manual had a dirt mark. Works otherwise

Awful. I bought My Passport in 2020, and everything was great. But a few months ago, when I connected it to my PC and tried to open a folder, it didn't work. My whole Explorer froze for a minute and then displayed an error. From there, when I realized something was wrong, I decided to play it safe and transfer all my folders to my PC. Halfway through the first folder, the speed dropped to 0 bytes/second and never went back up. After about two hours, I decided to cancel it — and even that took another 5 minutes. All my backups were there. I couldn't access any of them. One day ago, I decided to try again. When it didn't work, I thought formatting it might “help.” I couldn't format it. Then I tried deleting the main partition — it failed and said something like: “The request failed due to a fatal device hardware issue.” I downloaded WD Drive Utilities. It recognized My Passport, but said it had 0 bytes. I tried formatting it from there — another error. So now I'm stuck with a non-working My Passport, and the warranty expired in 2022.

Worked for about an hour then disappeared from desktop and I cannot get it back. Bought 2 of the drives and both stopped working after about an hour.
