Small, perfect for frying up a small dish, though I use it to reheat food while traveling. We stay in 3-star hotels and always have a microwave, but some foods turn soggy when you reheat them in the microwave. So this skillet is perfect for getting that fried or grilled texture back. This comes with a removable handle - the directions for removing it are in plain site which was helpful because otherwise it would have taken me a while to get how it locks in place. The only thing I would add to this device is a light to show that it is on so as not to forget that. Otherwise, love it.

I never would have believed this mini electric fry pan would be as useful as it is. I've already made so many things. It was a big help at breakfast time for cooking sausages or hash browns, even eggs. The eggs came out perfect whether they were fried, scrambled or made into an omelet. Making a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch was a breeze. It was perfect for stir fry, appetizers or just reheating leftovers. Best of all was how easy it was to clean. There was no sticking or burning & food wiped off clean with just a sponge. And, being so small made it easy to store. The glass lid has a cool touch handle & vent. There's a temperature control handle with 5 settings allowing you to control the amount of heat needed. This will be a great gift for a single person, as they could easily make a meal with no problem. The “My Mini 7” Electric Skillet” is the perfect appliance to send off with your college student. It's so easy & safe to use, they'll thank you for it, & might even start eating better while they're away from home. I would highly recommend this product to anyone of any age. I'm sure after experimenting with different foods, this will become a new kitchen favorite.

I got this mini skillet to use in my camper. It's the perfect size to make meals for one person, or breakfast for 2. It's light, super portable, and heats up quickly. This would also be perfect in a dorm, or for someone who travels often and wants to do their own cooking in a hotel.

This is adorable and truly small! It's a perfect size for a single serving of something. However, like some other electric skillets cleaning is difficult because it can't be exposed to too much water. The main handle with the controls detaches, but the main skillet part still has some coil-like exposure. I like to be able to put things in the dishwasher, so if making eggs or something I'd rather just use a pan and throw it in the washer. However, I can see this being good if you're traveling/camping and want a skillet option.

This is an electric skillet. It is 7 inches end to end. The pan itself is die cast aluminum with an even heating surface, but it is recommended to lightly spray it with a cooking spray or use a little oil before using. Also do not use metal utensils as it will scratch the surface of the pan. It comes with a glass lid which is tempered and has a steam vent which is great. The handle is cool touch too, but the pan gets hot so be careful. The handle is also detachable. The temperature control is also adjustable. The booklet also comes with a couple recipes. So far I have done eggs, bacon, french toast, and a burger. The only downside for me is that it is really just better for one person, but I guess that is why it is called a mini skillet.

The MyMini electric skillet was very well packed in its product box to prevent damage. There was Styrofoam top and bottom, with each part of the appliance wrapped in protective plastic bags. My skillet was in pristine, factory condition. After cleaning the skillet with soap and water and a non-scratching scrubber, I turned it on to warm up. It warmed pretty quickly, and in went the sausage patty (Photo). There was the distinctive sizzle sound you'd expect. But, for some reason, the sizzling stopped. So, using the temperature knob, I moved the setting higher. The sizzling resumed but, once again, stopped after 30 seconds, or so. I increased the setting for a 3rd time, but the same thing happened again. it seemed that the intensity of the electric heating element would automatically decrease itself. Why? I have no idea. I've had full-size electric skillets that would never do that. Eventually I had the setting at the low end of the highest band. By the way, I needed a flashlight to see the arrow on the temperature setting knob. That's the only way I could see where it was set! The arrow should be white, so it would be visible against the black color of the knob. Also, the bottom of the skillet legs are smooth and slippery on the counter. I wish the feet has some sort of non-slip material to keep the skillet from sliding so easily. The skillet has a very nice, solid see-thru glass lid, with a vent hole for releasing steam. It fits the skillet perfectly. I can see the compactness of the MyMini skillet being great for RVs and travel trailers. When you remove the handle, it can be stored without using too much space. The sausage patty? It cooked nicely, but it'll take some experience to know the best settings to use for it, and other foods. I reluctantly gave it only 3 stars because of the very-hard-to-see arrow on the temperature knob, the super-slippery legs and the need to keep raising the temperature while frying.
