National Presto Ind 50332 Pressure Regulator, 3-Pc.

This 3 piece regulator consists of a center bobber with two removable rings, for 5, 10, and 15 psi operation. My 16qt presto canner has a pressure gage also, so I started with just the center bobber and obtained barely rocking at 8psig, barely rocking again with center and one ring at 11 psig, and also barely rocking again with center and two rings at 15 psig. So you do have three options for pressure. I quickly replaced the 3 piece bobber with a one piece bobber and it barely rocked at 15 psi when the pressure re-stabalized. All this was on an electric stove. Hope this helps.... pmo

I want sure if it would work very well but actually I like this one better then the one that came with my pressure canner. Very fast shipping too

Bought it to work with my Presto 23 quart Pressure Cooker/Canner so I can listen to it jiggle when heated to the correct pressure instead of constantly monitoring the dial gauge.

Pressure cooking is a very good way to retain nutrients in your food. In my opinion, a stainless steel pressure cooker is better than aluminum. If I was able to have only one cooking pot, it would be a pressure cooker. I appreciate very much that the parts I need for my pressure cooker, from time to time, are available from this company. Exactly what I needed - works perfectly!

I had lost the pressure regulator off my pressure canner during a move. After looking everywhere, finally ordered a new one. It arrived in 1-2 days and has been hard at work on my pressure canner ever since!

Why don't they supply this with the new canners? These are the best thing since sliced bread! No more monitoring the pressure gauge, just sit back and enjoy the day!

I bought this as a gift, but have the same thing myself for use on my Presto pressure canners. I was originally at a loss what to do, because the Mirro canner comes with this pressure regulator, but I hate having to bend and squat to see the pressure release mechanism that is between the two handles. What a terrible design! I liked the Presto canner pressure release indicator on the lid, but all it comes with is the weighted gauge, which I don't like because it means standing by the stove for the entire time the pressure is built up in order to keep turning the stove up and down to keep the pressure regulate. Reading a review from another user revealed that this pressure regulator - also known as a "jiggler" - could be used on the pressure vent of the Presto canner. Voila! I had the exact pressure canner I wanted by combining the Presto with this regulator. It works wonderfully for me, asI can keep working around the kitchen (or playing a hand of cards if my friend and I are canning together) as long as I remain where I can hear the jiggler and the pressure release. No more standing by the stove to keep things regulated. I am assuming that my stepdaughter will love it, as well, when she gets to use her new pressure canner with "jiggler" regulator next summer.

Excellent , with the ability to change from 5-10-15 lbs you can set the desired pressure and wait for the cooking time to complete
