I have 3 cats and ever since the first one I switched to this litter after researching brands and types of litter. Not only is this one low on dust but it helps contain the smell and even when it does smell it is not nearly as bad when using clay litter. In the past clay litter made the smell worse and heightened the smell of ammonia. This one does not it contains it. It still tracks some but not nearly as much. It's easy to scoop and clumps well and does not fall apart like clay litters I've used in the past. It's also extremely absorbent. The walnuts also naturally smell better than clay litter which is beneficial and is what helps contain and mask the smell.
Has a nice, natural scent to it, vice the fake smells of other cat litters. Does emit dust, but all cat litters do. We typically go three weeks between changes/cleanings. One, large bag will last you six weeks easy.
My sister recommended this product for me, so with hesitation I bought a bag. When it arrived I went straight ahead and dumped out the old and in with the new. The difference was night and day, the smell is a lot less after use and the clean up a lot lighter as compared to the other brand I was buying before. However I wish they would come up with a resealable bag or a different container for the unused portion of it. YES! I would recommend this product and have, I have not went back to my old product as of yet and don't think I will either.
We've been using this walnut shell litter for years. The clumping is good which makes it easy to clean. It has no artificial scent, but has an inherent odor control, so I almost never smell the litter box, even when my husband forgets to clean it. I especially like the fact that the walnut shells are biodegradable, unlike clay litter.
Absolutely refuse to use anything else now! Excellent job of odor control of urine and when the fur babies cover their poop (as not all tend to do)! Has an earthy scent and appearance as it is 100% walnut shell...amazing in itself. Resembling dirt, looks great in the planter litterbox recently purchased and where the feral momma was used to eliminating previously. Clumps stay formed while transferring to toilet where it easily breaks down for flushing and I utilize a metal mesh scooper instead of the larger holed/slotted plastic scoops. Doesn't stick to either plastic or steel boxes. Dust is minimal and tracking no different than the A%26H multicat clay litter we switched from due to one of three kittens refusing to use it. Texture is similar but slightly softer than the aforementioned and much lighter. The 26lb bag is a bit cumbersome to pour from but, that being the only downside, so worth it in exchange for the longevity, flushability, and cost efficiency. Our trash isn't as heavy to take out now...lol. With our 3 resident cats we were using 40lb @ $20 in store Walmart weekly of the clay while our newest 3 kittens and their feral momma used one 26lb bag in 3 weeks @ $22 through Walmart subscription online. Final thought: which weighs more...a pound of gravel or 16 ounces of cotton balls?
Where has this stuff been all my life?! I love it! It's sooo much lighter than clay litter, it gets all the waste together in clumps but this absorbs urine so much better so it lasts longer, as opposed to clay which seems to expand when wet, also it actually smells nice! I've used the lavender scented which is my favorite, but also the plain and multi-cat. They are all excellent.
So much better than Clay litter. My cats like it much better also. Easier to clean and scoop the box. Highly recommend.
This is a very specific cat litter, which isn't carried at many stores. But Walmart carries it. It was also cheaper at Walmart than competitors, which was ultimately the reason for my purchase.
Works great and I think it is probably healthier for my cat than the kind of litter that reminds me of sac Crete
Good odor %26 clumping but its like tracking coffee grounds. The Dust really sticks to Sphynx cats %26 have to work at scrubbing it off. Even groomers gunk (degreaser) had a hard time breaking through it. Has a weird earthy smell to it. Trying the Corn litter instead. Doesnt stain the feet. Also clumps well %26 contains odor.
