Great to take along side vitamins that don’t have iron if you need that. Easy to chew, does have a mild vitamin taste and that is expected obviously. Other than that it tastes great and serves it purpose. It’s better than swallowing a pill, and I feel it does the same if it were, I shall buy again.
My parent is anemic refuses to take iron says it must be taken with Vitamin C. Then puts in pocket never takes it. This gummy takes pretty ok but it has C in it. At least at night or in am since it more like a candy they will take it. I have empty container and full container of regular iron pills as proof. Worth the price.
Only iron supplement we could tolerate. We have problems with highly concentrated supplements. Since iron must be taken with Vit C in order for it to be absorbed it is benefical for it to be included in the gummy. If the level of vit C hurts your bladder as it clears as with interstitial cystitis ( thin mucous membrane lining in the bladder) then cut one in half and take it at different time. Remember iron absorption is blocked by calcium so do not take with milk products including cheese.
My doctor recommended taking a multivitamin with iron, but I opted to take it this way. I figured that if I took a low dose iron with vitamin c, it would be more potent and administer the iron in my system better. It has a fruity taste. I still feel tired most dats but I attribute it to work now than my iron
Just enough, plus C makes Iron activate. People eat iron fortified cereal but once you put milk on it, the iron won't work at all. Best to take these gummies with C about two hours after other vitamins and dairy, and no stomach upset at all. I just had my bloodwork redone and my iron is back in range. I'm 84.
Were effective for me at preventing my usual lightheadedness during period, so generally happy with them. Bought these because they were the only in-store iron supplement with a dose at or below 100% DV. Happy there's at least one option for that, because I only need a little extra iron. Anyway, they taste fine to me, mildly sweet and vaguely fruity/tangy. They do still taste a bit like metal but I can ignore it since they work, and it's hard for anyone to make a bunch of iron taste good. Gummies are super chewy, like Haribo gummies chewy. So you may love that or hate that. The issue I had is they get sticky very easily/fast. Kept them inside a cabinet, but they got too sticky to pour out in about 3 weeks. They might be extremely temperature sensitive. Right now I use chopsticks to grab one and pull it out. Not terrible, but kind of a hassle. It gets worse over time so probably don't plan to store these for a long time.
Nature Made 18 MG iron gummies have a good flavor, and are easy to chew. I have an issue swallowing pills, so I thought that this would be a good option. But after a couple of days of being opened, the gummies all kind of cling together because they become sticky. If you tip the bottle up, a gummy will not come out. I had to actually use a fork to get each one out every day. I found this very inconvenient, and probably will not buy them again.
So, this gummy does a decent job of covering up the bad flavor of iron, but it still tastes like you're eating a piece of fruit and you bit your tongue while doing so. Basically, it tastes like fruit with a little bit of blood. it's faint enough that I can ignore it, but I really don't like it, and I have to eat something else afterwards immediately so I don't shudder from the flavor. I don't like the chewiness level. It's very chewy and gummy, instead of being soft. The texture kind of recoils against you and fights your teeth. This means you have to chew it for longer, and taste the bad flavor for longer. I wish it were more of a soft chew, so you could chew it up quickly and get it over with. The bottle seems to be a decent value, and if you can't swallow pills, then this is a decent option, but the taste is still gross, and the texture means that you have to experience the taste for a long time while you chew it up.
I have more energy, and I feel better now, but there is a one bad point that gives darkness in your teeth and tongue, you should clean your mouth right after taking it.
I couldn't say if these are helping, but they have not killed me. The gummies taste ok, but they are so gooey they stick together in a ball and to the bottom of the jar. I have to get a spoon to dig some out of the bottle in the morning. I purchased a two month supply but will go elsewhere after these are gone.
