This birdhouse is beautifully built with nice venting. The clean-out feature is well designed and easy to use. The only thing I would change is the roof color. It may be too hot (black) and could be toned to a gray.
Sturdy, attractive little wren house. easy access for cleaning, with coated wire for hanging. this little house should last and last. very satisfied with it.
this little bird house is really nice. well built and opens for cleaning.
very good quality...cedar wood...easily cleaned
Beautiful and well-made, humming bird house, I love the wood design of how it was made very steady and for years to use. I also like that it comes within steel or iron hook to hang so it won't rot like if it was a normal rope it's super easy to fill with food and even easier to empty out so I can get cleaned. I enjoy watching the hummingbirds go in eating and just being around it.
The cedar made bird house is beautiful! Contrast in color is great, the hole is 1 and 1/8 inch, perfect for birds. It has air vents under the roof and a door with lock on bottom to open for cleaning out, it's also a family owned company that made these beauties!
This birdhouse is absolutely awesome. I have bought several birdhouses previously that say they are "made for outdoor use," but are clearly indoor decor made from super cheap materials that do not hold up in weather or wind. This one is solid. Very durable %26 easy access clean out. I think I will stain the bottom just to keep it sealed longer.
This is actually a nice looking bird house. It has a portable clean out door so that you can easily raise it up to clean out the bird house. The entry hole for the birds is 1 1/8". It also states it has air vents but it is really two small cut-outs at the roof which I will include a picture. It states it has rot resistant premium cedar and is constructed with rust resistant hardware. And also a preservative that keeps the wood looking new longer but I haven't had the bird house long enough to test these things out yet. It says it comes with a 3 year warranty. And it suppose to attract chickadee and wren birds. Still I haven't had it long enough to notice the birds attraction to it but we will continue to keep an eye out and see. It also includes instructions for selecting a location for the bird house and maintaining a clean bird house which I thought was very helpful. It also tells you which Month depending on your location in the world to put your bird house out to attract the birds. All in all, I think it is pretty neat and can't wait until I have birds living in it.
It's still winter here in my region of the Mid-Atlantic United States, and it will be at least a month before the wrens return to my area. So, this review is based on the quality of the item, and not necessarily the usability of it by the birds. Although I can tell that this birdhouse was not made by master woodworkers due to the lack of sanding and the rough edges around the hole that's drilled for the birds, the construction is sound, with wood screws providing the structural support and not cheap brad nails. A very nicely crimped hanging wire made from a single piece of plastic-coated steel cord provides the means for mounting. Since cedar is naturally resistant to rot and insect damage, it’s perfect for birdhouse construction. I have a little reservation about the dark stain on the roof of the house, as I can see it being the first thing to fade in the harsh weather. However, this is just a guess based on its appearance and testing for water fastness. I appreciate the ability to open the bottom of the birdhouse at the end of the season for cleaning. Overall, I believe this to be a good value and if you enjoy watching wrens, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
The screws through roof to hold birdhouse together split the wood from top to bottom. Item is unusable
