Pennington Earth Smart, Gray Plastic, Hopper Wild Bird Feeder, 2.5 lb. Capacity

I love this ..I am 89 yrs old and found it so easy to take off the cover and put it back on..I have been looking or one of these for so long!!!! I am ordering another one now...so easy....I get my feeder,bird seed and groceries delivered right to my door..so thankful for this service! Thank you Walmart!!!!!

Easy to fill as top comes off. Birds took a bit of time to adjust to using it and they still prefer a similar metal one which is harder to fill though. Sometimes getting the top back on takes a few tries but not a big drawback. The metal wire cord hanger is very good ( not too long or too short) and stiff enough to hang above my head on looped end but flexible if I have to fasten it around obstacles. Had a big capacity.

I hang this outside my kitchen window on my roll up aw ning. the cables to be a bit too long. when the wind blows all the seed came out of the feeder. also it is built well, but the part where the birds sit is very small and the birds have hard time to get the seed out. they end up throwing it all over the place. and when the wind blows , say goodbye to all the seeds it's all over the ground.

I like my little bird feeder. I wanted to get something cheap and functional that I could hang in front of a window in order to attract birds and to amuse my cat when she is stuck inside. Cheap and functional it is. It is also solidly constructed and easy to hang. As an added bonus, much of it is made of recycled material. The top/roof separates from the hopper portion by twisting it off, which makes it easy to fill. Get this and a 5 lb. bag of Pennington Classic Wild Bird Seed and you are set to make your cat and your neighborhood avians happy.

I really like this feeder. however it's a bit hard to fill while hanging. The feeder tips so you must hold it as you scoop feed into it. The top of the feeder twist onto the base. This is good but you have to align everything just right or it comes apart and your seed will be dumped. I've had a little trouble with it and I have been really careful. Apparently not careful enough because this morning the feeder was hanging sideways and really close to dumping a full feeder on the ground. So keep this in mind when filling your feeder.

I bought this for cardinal feeding, but even using small sunflower seeds the holes are too small for seed to come out. Even on this weekend with temps below 15 the birds are ignoring this feeder despite flocking to ones near it. Would be good if only using millet or other very small feed.

This BIRD FEEDER is quite small, despite the "holds 2.5 lbs" unless there is lead in the seeds, no way! My birds would clean this feeder out in 4 or 5 hours. I knew it wasn't a monster but gee whizzers....gave the feeder away for early xmas present. If you don't mind filling it every day, then it probably is just fine.

The price is great The roof is a bit touchy to screw on once you fill the feeder but still doable. My real complaint is once I put this out for the birds after about a month, the bottom ledge perch is all broken. I'm not sure how this happened. Birds squirrels weather.? in a week or two they probably won't be any ledge left for the birds to perch on

Put bird seed in, hung on tree. Bottom dropped out. Whole bird feeder and seed all over the ground. Walmart will not refund me without return, even tho it's broken and I'm chronically ill. And have no way to get it there. Including by shipping lable. No printer. It's not my fault it malfunctioned!

I ordered it through walmart plus delivery and it came broken, the plastic was cracked and had a hole in it. I went to do a return but it wanted me to bring the item back to the store, i ordered delivery so it wasnt worth the drive and i just had to keep the broken item instead.
