I hang this outside my kitchen window on my roll up aw ning. the cables to be a bit too long. when the wind blows all the seed came out of the feeder. also it is built well, but the part where the birds sit is very small and the birds have hard time to get the seed out. they end up throwing it all over the place. and when the wind blows , say goodbye to all the seeds it's all over the ground.

This feeder offers many positives. It is well designed, providing easy filling, is sturdily formed material. The retained lid secures easily. It's time to replace feeders lacking these positives. Its desirability is topped by being made in the U.S.A. I certainly recommend this feeder.

I just donated a "squirrel proof" bird feeder for which I paid 3 times the cost of this one. That feeder was empty every morning. I saw this one and bought simply because of the price . I now consider it to be one of the most intelligent purchases I have ever made even though I put very little thought into buying it, It looks good.. It still has bird seed in it every morning. It is well made and the birds seem to like it.. I would recommend it over any other bird feeder and that is saying something because I have spent a good amount of money trying to find the perfect feeder. How ironic is it that the cheapest bird feeder I have ever purchased is the absolute best.

All of the birds eat from it but bigger birds like Cardinals and a few others have a little trouble with the smaller landing area. It doesn't stop anyone from eating though. It's pretty big and holds plenty of food so you don't have to fill it as frequently. Top just twists off to clean or fill the feeder.

Our old bird feeder broke after several years of use, and I wanted a new feeder right away, not to let down the birds who eat with us every day. I ordered this one mainly because it was the cheapest one Walmart had (on sale) and was available for delivery that day, along with our groceries. It turned out to be bigger, sturdier and cuter than I expected! The birds (and squirrels) liked it right away and I am sure it will last quite a while. Highly recommended!

I really like this feeder. however it's a bit hard to fill while hanging. The feeder tips so you must hold it as you scoop feed into it. The top of the feeder twist onto the base. This is good but you have to align everything just right or it comes apart and your seed will be dumped. I've had a little trouble with it and I have been really careful. Apparently not careful enough because this morning the feeder was hanging sideways and really close to dumping a full feeder on the ground. So keep this in mind when filling your feeder.

I always buy this brand of birdfeeders, but have been disappointed the last few times that I have bought them because of the lid. The picture showed that these last three that I bought were like the old ones where you didn't have to twist the lid to move it up. Wish you would go back to the other ones.

We have Red Birds around, and many other species. We use seed with Sunflower Seeds in it. The dispensing holes on this feeder are so small that the seeds won't come out by gravity. The Sunflower Seeds tend to create a log jam (so to speak) and block the dispensing holes preventing the seeds from dispensing.

Put bird seed in, hung on tree. Bottom dropped out. Whole bird feeder and seed all over the ground. Walmart will not refund me without return, even tho it's broken and I'm chronically ill. And have no way to get it there. Including by shipping lable. No printer. It's not my fault it malfunctioned!

We bought a pair of these to have on hand when we were cleaning our other 2 feeders. Very disappointed on many levels. First it felt cheap, and secondly we didn't see how our cardinals could fit comfortably to eat from this. They would have to eat sideways because there just isn't room for them to sit normally. These went back.
