I bought these same ones years ago... I've had many different kinds of feeders ( many were far more expensive and fancier) I get a LOT of hummingbirds every year! For some reason, these feeders are the ones they prefer!!!! I have glass ones, expensive ones, etc.... but none of them are anywhere near as busy as these.. After quite a few years, the red color faded so I replaced 4 of them with these same new ones!
I bought 2 more hummingbird feeders for my yard. ‘Be used this one for years. It holds a good amount of nectar, is very easy to clean and has perches for the hummers to sit on when they drink. It's all plastic so if I drop it, it won't break. My first one lasted for years.
Love this style First Nature hummingbird feeders with 2 slots rather than one round feeding hole as it keeps the honey bees out. I normally look for the 32 oz in this style (lately not available) but I have this one area that isn't heavily visited so 16 oz is perfect, allowing the larger feeder to be used at another location.
Thocal humming bird has favored this on from the first day! It is easy to take apart and clean and I appreciate that - especially since hot weater is on the way. (FYI - be sure to keep your feeders mold free because the mold can kill hummingbirds. )
These are the absolute best hummingbird feeders. hummingbirds love them, and contradictory to a lot of online info, hummingbirds do perch to rest while they feed if they have a place to do so. These feeders have a ring for that. the red base parts can go in the dishwasher to keep them sanitized. don't try to put the clear part in there though, they will melt, even with heated dry turned off. that would be the only improvement I would like to see, that the whole thing could be made dishwasher safe, and a hook added to the bottom to hang a series of feeders.
The hummingbirds love these! We had one small 8 ounce glass feeder up and saw two or three birds. After putting these up we saw over a dozen birds a few days later. They fight like crazy over them. The bottom fell off one of them while a bird was using it but this was just after I refilled it so maybe I didn't secure it correctly. Overall, I feel they're a good deal. I like that they hold more than the 8 ounces the small glass feeders hold. I also like the wide wouth better than the 8oz glass feeders for ease of cleaning and filling. The birds have no trouble finding the feeder holes and even moths (or some kind of winged insect) feed from them.
I BUY Every Year Several but when I got 4 Delivered I was Missing ALL THE TOP to Hang Up to Hold it for Sugar Water. I just know that the Walmart Delivery Person could have done a better Selection of getting the Products Prepared and Not Give Out an Incomplete // Missing items on the Product.. IT IS A FAVORITE OF MINE HUMMINGBIRDS DO FLOCK BCUZ OF THE 6 LIPS 👄 So I cannot Use the One Hummingbird Feeder, bcuz it was Not Delivered Correctly ...
For the money I can't complain. But when you fill it sometimes the bottom does not lock into place right. Then it opens and spills all the nectar. Needs a better way to fill it and close it correctly. It fell apart after filling it with nectar and fitting it into place it didn't hold and spilled all over.
This more of the review for the Walmart service. I ordered this Hummingbird feeder and drove 20 miles round trip to pick it up. They brought it to me in a bag. when I got home and took it out of the bag, it was missing the bottom part, making this feeder useless. When I called customer service, I was told that they were not able to ship me the new one. How could they not see that the item was missing part? Shame on you Walmart!
This NOT a First Nature brand feeder but an overseas knock off! My hummingbirds come to this feeder as expected, but leave quickly when their beaks won't fit the tiny slits in the feeding ports. The First Nature feeders I purchased last year has 12- 3mm holes for feeding Not 1mm slits like the ones I just bought. I had the same feeder delivered by Am**** this year and I thought that I found the same brand and feeder with Walmart. What a disappointment!
