Great for airing your tires and jumping off your car. If you run over screws and needing air until you can get it fixed you used purchase. I love that you can just set the amount of air your tire needs and walk away.
After reviewing it, I found that it was one of the best ones it its category. It works every time I need it is compact enough to keep it in my vehicle.
While it is brand new, it is working as described after charging to 100%. I tested the inflator by deflating my tires first. It worked to reinflate, but the connectors got hot, which was expected from all the other reviews. It works well enough to get me out of a low tire pressure situation. I also used it to crank over a motor that was not connected to a battery. I bought it for emergency purposes and will not know how soon I'd need it. According to the instructions, I am to charge it back to 100% every 3 months even if it has not been used. I'll follow up if it fails within the care parameters.
Does as supposed to work
Absolutely flawless design. Great for topping up bike tires or starting my lawn mower. I got tired of replacing batteries in my mower, my generators, etc.. Now I don't do that anymore. I simply connect the device and start!
Invaluable tool for your car. Wish there was an easier way to manipulate the tube for inflating the tire.
WHEN USING THE AIR COMPRESSOR, FOLLOW SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS.....LONG PRESS,,,SHORT PRESS I USED MY PHONE WALL PLUG IN TO CHARGE THIS DEVICE.
This unit appears well made but buyers should be aware of a design flaw. Specifically, the jump start cables are too short. From a safety standpoint jump start cables should be long enough to allow connecting to the positive battery terminal and to a ground on opposite sides of the engine bay. these cables are too short..
Overall, not a bad unit for the price ($76 on sale). It will satisfy my jump start and tire inflation needs, but you should assess your needs before buying. My main reason was to have an emergency jump starter and tire inflator to carry with me in my RV when traveling, especially when boondocking. Here are some of my experiences with the NEXPRO AP1. A plus sign ( ) means it's a pro, and a negative sign (-) means con: ( ) easily started gas powered RAM 3500 RV w/dead (<10 volts) battery; (-) Ford 7.0L diesel w/dead (11 volts) battery just laughed at the NEXPRO... didn't even try to crank; (-) cables are TOO SHORT and wouldn't reach both post on my RV battery (DieHard Platinum AGM, group size H8), but fortunately I was able to reach a clean bolt to connect the negative cable; (-) they don't provide a charger for the unit and I didn't see one on their website either, so I bought one from a competitor (WOLFBOX); (-) the instruction book/user guide is NOT good and they really need to have someone who is both a technician and well versed in English to re-write it and remove most of the worthless charts, phrases, and definitions, and give some clear basic use instructions. I am mechanical and could figure things out on my own, but my significant other was lost and wanted to send it back! A few examples: power on/off not clear; doesn't state how to position the flip tab and connect to a tire valve correctly; ( ) nice bright light and light options; ( ) unit is light and easy to carry and position, also a sturdy carrying case; (-) air pressure hose could be longer to accommodate large truck tires... it didn't reach if the valve stem was at the top of the wheel; (-) caution - the unit heats up quickly when inflating, so if inflating more than one tire, ball, ..., be sure to wait a few minutes in between uses to let it cool down.
I'd like just to get a replacement for this in case there is just a manufacturing defect. The connector for the tire inflator is offset in the housing such that you cannot screw in the hose attachment. Hopefully, I can get a replacement for this item that doesn't have the same issue.
