Works very well. Too well. It never stops catching Pokemon...at all. The good thing is that it is doing the tedious work of getting candies so you can evolve your Pokemon. Two "full" days of catching and the battery died. So, the battery life isn't so great.
I really love this because when my boyfriend is driving I can pass pokestops while driving and just push a button on my Pokemon go plus to receive all the items. You can also catch Pokemon while driving but only if your driving in a slower speed limit zone.
Works great for pokestops. Will throw 1 regular ball at Pokémon. 50/50 chance of catching or running away. Will not throw anything other than regular balls. Seems to pick up stops and Pokémon from farther away. Battery won't drain from phone as quickly. Downside can't see what you are throwing at so may toss a regular ball at something that needed more. Overall good buy for gamers
The only selling point I needed was the ability to track km while the screen is black. The ability to multitask is icing on the cake! Catch those stops during evolution scenes or even while you are catching another Pokémon.
LOVE IT- FUN TO PLAY WHILE WALKING WITHOUT THE DISTRACTION OF STOPPING AND THROWING THE BALL FROM THE PHONE, BUT I CAN DO THAT TO! GRANDDAUGHTER LOVES PRESSING THE BUTTON AND PLAYING WITH ME .. HAPTIC FEEDBACK HELPS CONNECT IT AND US.
It helps to hatch eggs quicker, also helps to collect stardust quicker. Some bad points are that you can't see what pokémon are you going to catch, only if you already have it on your pokedex or not. And you only can use regular poke-balls.
I went in knowing that the PG+ would only catch Pokemon with one Pokeball attempt. At higher levels I knew this wouldn't be very useful. Even so, I was attracted to the idea of being able to spin Pokestops without having my phone out. I thought that would work for me to get items during my daily commute to and from work. It works some times and doesn't even pick them up other times. I thought it had to do with speed, but I can spin some going over 30 MPH. Other times even around neighborhoods, going only 25 MPH and right on the middle of the stop they won't even recognize it. I end up going to my phone on my lap and spinning them. Does work great for getting buddy steps for candy with the phone locked.
When it works, the Plus lets you collect from Pokestops and catch Pokemon (using only 1 attempt with a red ball). It can really increase your ability to play because the app can be running in the background on the phone and Plus will still work. If you follow some very specific instructions (not included with the Plus), this device works and really improves your game play ability/experience. It can be EXTREMELY frustrating not being able to connect the Plus easily. If you buy this, and have an Android phone, you MUST follow these steps: 1) Close the Pokemon GO App 1) Turn WIFI OFF (must stay off to use POGO Plus) 2) Turn Location Sharing OFF for WIFI *AND* Bluetooth (Settings > Location > ... > Sharing 3) Open Pokemon GO App 4) Click the gear Settings icon 5) Select Pokemon GO Plus 6) Push the button on the POGO Plus (light will flash Blue) 7) Click the device when it appears on the screen and you /should/ finally be connected. (You can alternatively for steps 4-7 click the POGO Plus icon on the map screen and then click the button on the POGO Plus when the pink message instructs you to) Now, this is *VERY* important. You must keep WIFI and Location Sharing ALWAYS OFF or your Plus will lose its connection and won't let you reconnect. You will have to reset the device/redo the above instructions all over again if you turn WIFI or Location Sharing on, whether you turn it on or the phone does it by itself, or another app does it. HAVE FUN!
This device does whatever it can to ruin your fun. Disconnect every three minutes for no reason? Done. Disconnect when the phone gets more than 5 feet away? Easy. Actually perform its intended purpose? Once in a blue moon. The connection isn't even solid enough to track steps due to the constant issues. Save your money. The only thing you get out of purchasing this is anger and frustration.
Shipping was fine but 1 of the 2 go plus bracelets that I received is faulty. It doesn't work. It just hums and vibrates but will not turn on or connect. Yes I tried replacing the battery and even with a new battery it still does the same thing.
