This is absolutely a must to keep your console secured and safe, but also ideal for traveling! -it does come with film screen protector but I highly recommend to get tempered glass screen protector from Amazon which is roughly $8-$9 USD to buy it from 3rd vendor such as anFilm, for instance.
The case works good for the console, however, the screen protector that comes with it is very bad. It was my first time putting on a screen protector, and it was hard to align it onto the screen. It got dirty very fast before I could fit it on right, and even then, there were still bubbles present, and it was hard to push them out. They only give you one of them as well.
I definitely wanted a case to protect my console when it released last week. On my original Switch I had been using the Zelda one for years now. So this had a lot riding on it since I definitely have a preference. I think this case is serviceable but doesnt go out of its way to be excellent. I like the overall look, but i feel like it's still a bit thin and not quite rigid enough. It holds games and other items but the pouch isnt particularly large and it doesnt hold that many games. The screen protector is a flimsy one that isnt the solid glass ones I've used for a while. I didnt even use this flimsy one. I wouldnt want to unless I had to. For Day One.. its fine. Maybe it'll work for most people, but for me, im looking for something already thats got more personality and structure. That may not exist yet but I'm looking.
For the price, there are other, better options for a case. The case is not "hard", it is a vinyl material that has some flexability (you can still click the joy-con sticks through the case). There is only storage for 6 physical games and a small net pouch that can hardly hold both of the joy-con wrist straps. BUT in the end, yes, it's a case, and it works.
As one of only two “official” cases at time of writing, this case is an unfortunate, price-gouged letdown. The case itself is a flexible shell—suitable enough to protect from scratches on the go, but it's easily crushed in with a small amount of pressure. I wouldn't pack it in my suitcase. The case itself is small, bare-bones, and won't fit anything extra—particularly the Switch 2's AC Adapter. This was the dealbreaker for me, and I'll be returning it on my next store visit. Skip this purchase and wait for a more substantial product, especially for this price. (It would be great if Nintendo partnered with RDS again—my favorite cases for the original Switch). Or, look into a 3rd Party case, options of which are expanding each week since launch.
this is the absolute minimum product for protection. minimal case, very light padding. screen protector is just basic enough to get the job done. does not include anything to help with installing screen protector and it just barely adequate coverage. price and value are not good. similar case and better screen protectors can be had for less money and offer better protection
Double the price of significantly better cases. The only official case for a similar product I've ever bought that was even more flimsy than this was the ROG Ally's official case. This is downright embarrassing. There's zero protection, and barely enough space for the Switch 2 itself. All of the buttons can be easily pressed from outside of the case, and you can even move the analog sticks around and smash them in. The tiny little mesh pouch is effectively useless. You might fit a receipt in there, at best. The screen protectors are extremely flimsy plastic and provide absolutely no protection. They scratch up nearly instantly. The little cleaning cloth is no better - it's rough and scratchy, and quite thin, tearing very easily and even scratching the screen protectors and screen. The worst part is that I bought two and didn't even open one, and Wal-Mart still won't even take a return. They absolutely refuse, even if it's within the return period and the box isn't even opened.
Got a “Orzly” case in the supposed “Nintendo Switch 2” Box. Was a Nintendo licensed product and everything. Not sure if someone switched out the case but this was extremely disappointing to see and find.
Looking to protect my investment of my Nintendo Switch 2 and thinking at a premium price point the case would be a hard case and the screen protector would be glass. This is not the case. The screen protector was very thin plastic? Maybe plastic more like saran wrap. The case was flimsy there was no handle or strap. Inside there was nothing to secure the switch 2 there was no room for any cables or charger. There was a weak flap that had an elastic strap to hold about 6 games. I immediately return his item for a full refund and went and bought an eight dollar glass screen protector and a case on special for $19 from another retailer an actual hard case with storage.
Ordered 1 for me and 1 for my son. Only opened 1 and returned both to the store . The case is so flexible and thin one can press where the joycon sticks are and hear them click. We carry our system in our backpacks. This case would not protect a switch from our books from pressing the joycon sticks. Quality was poor and disappointing.
