Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Charging Grip

This looks just like the non-chargeable grip provided with the Switch. Guess Nintendo was too cheap to include this excellent chargeable grip instead. I use the Switch as a console and having to slide the Joy-Cons on and off the docked display was a pain. Now the docked display can sit untouched while the Joy-Cons charge or are in use.

This is a great accessory for anyone who has a switch and wants to use the joy cons seperately from the switch console. This will charge while u play. Very useful.

I thought it would have a battery, so it only charges while plugged in. Still, it does quite well. Funny note, the box came from Japan (I read Japanese, so it doesn't impact me) so it might not be a happy surprise for most people who do not.

Description leads people to believe the handheld controller charger can charge jocons without being plugged in. But, the handheld charger needs to be plugged in to a power source to charge controllers.

This product is falsely advertised. It is advertised as a charging joycon grip for the 1st generation Nintendo switch. Also stated as if it is compatible for the switch 1 %26 2. When I received it, it was for the Nintendo switch 2 only.

False advertising. I received a standard (non-charging) Joy-Con grip despite this item being clearly advertised as a charging Joy-Con grip. The box it came in had Japanese text on it and had a design that made it seem like it containd a charging Joy-Con grip. The box had been opened. Inside was an unused, standard Joy-Con grip and a charging cable. Extremely disappointed in Walmart. I expect better and will take my online shopping elsewhere. This was a waste of my time.

I ordered a new, official Nintendo Joy-Con Charging Grip. What arrived did not come in the original packaging, and upon closer inspection does not even appear to be a genuine Nintendo product. It appears to be a counterfeit knockoff, designed to look like the real thing. But sitting it next to my other charging grip which I know is genuine, there are many subtle differences such as the colors, finish, shapes/sizes of little nooks and crannies and screws. Even the tiny writing on the back and the certification symbols appear weirdly smudged compared to the genuine article.

I purchased what was supposed to be an Authentic Nintendo joycon charging grip in authentic Nintendo packaging as shown in the picture. When I received the item it was in a plastic bag not a Nintendo box and most likely not a genuine Nintendo product. If I had of wanted a generic product I would have purchased one for 1/2 the price that I paid for this one. I will be returning this item. Do Not purchase this item if you are looking for an Authentic Genuine Nintendo packaged product.

The controllers will slide out while using it. They do not lock into place like they should. It seems like this unit was not an actual Nintendo made device. Says Nintendo but doesn't match the real Nintendo branded one we already had. Save your money

The description and pictures indicated it would be the a joycon grip with port to charge the joycons while attached (vs having to have me attached to the system). Instead, the base joycon grip was sent, the one that shipped with the system. Meaning it was NOT the charging grip, as again, the was described by both description and images. I would've forgiven the fact that the item shipped to me wasn't in a box/manufacturers packaging of any kind (just the wrong grip on a clear plastic bag), but since it was NOT as advertised, it just added insult to injury. Buyer beware. Best to stay away from 3rd party sellers through Walmart.
