If you didn’t know this already, you also have to get a subscription for Nintendo, so at most, you’d spend like $50-60 on top of the switch itself. But besides that, it’s ready to go! I got a silicone case right after and joystick covers bc I noticed they discolor easily, and I don’t want any marks from me dropping it. It is kind of slick without the case and uncomfortable to hold for a long time, so I got the case w back “bumpers” and it helps a lot. I will be getting the mobile controllers (the Nintendo classic two controllers that the switch uses %26 the one that looks like a gaming controller to try out with gameplay, too! It really depends on your WiFi with how fast it’ll go, but the speed with loading is pretty fast and offline works very well with offline games. I’ve never had or played any switches, so this is fun for me. My last Nintendo console was the original Wii, so it’s cool to see how far Nintendo has come, even when this isn’t one of their newer products. Reminds me a lot of the Nintendo DS or PlayStation mobile consoles.

It was actually pretty good. I mean everything worked perfectly. I had no issues except connecting to the Wi-Fi. That was the only issue but other than it was, it worked perfectly fine.

Im a single father it was a gift for my oldest daughter due to me being low income I was finally able to afford to gift her a piece of entertainment for her last 2 years of perfect attendance

I got $500 Christmas money so I could’ve got a regular Nintendo switch but I wanted to save the extra $100, plus my last Nintendo switch’s joycons broke off and it was bulky, I want a device primarily for handheld gaming and i used my games from my last switch. If you have $200 %26 need a gaming system either for you, your kid(s) or both you %26 your kid(s) this is the game system to buy unless it’s March 2024 or later.

Just a gift 🎁

I gave 2 stars bc they asked for a review prematurely. I didn’t buy these mid November for a random gift; they’re Xmas presents so I have no idea if they will be worth the price yet. I will say that I’m not happy about the raised prices of them. Been $200 since launch and just magically right before Xmas, they raise prices to $225. Guarantee they’ll be $200 again for Black Friday sales and they’ll call it a “deal”. You’re better off buying a Japanese model as they are about $50 cheaper and work the exact same way.

I purchased this Nintendo Switch explicitly listed as "New" from Walmart.com (shipped from a local store). What I received was not only used but completely unusable. The Condition: Upon unboxing, the console was already set up with another customer's user profiles and save data. Worse, the device is currently locked with active Parental Controls requiring a 4-digit PIN. Because of this PIN, I cannot format the system, change settings, or even factory reset the device to wipe the previous owner's data. I was effectively sold a "bricked" console that I cannot use.

Zero stars. Shipping box arrived. When opened the Nintendo box was already opened and the only thing left was the charger. This was found the day we were going to open gifts with my children. What a Christmas bummer!!!

Returned item to Walmart on November 4th. They issued a fedex tracking number, but never shipped the item. Walmart has not issued a refund. A BBB complaint has been filed.
