Im a single father it was a gift for my oldest daughter due to me being low income I was finally able to afford to gift her a piece of entertainment for her last 2 years of perfect attendance
Perfect little handheld for everyday gaming much more portable then the switch you use on the tv. The only downside is the internal battery other than that it's a great console.
The mobility of the Slim model is a great asset. As a truck driver I keep a Switch Lite in my bag while I’m on the road. Great way to unwind after a day of driving. Two things to keep in mind 1. Get a transport case…and a screen protector. 2. If you have a primary Switch at home you’ll need an Internet connection to be able to authenticate your games. That being said…I love it…great purchase…some games that are a bit darker (like Legends of Zelda) can sometimes be a bit harder to see. Play in a shaded area.
Lightning speed shipment packaged well and arrived safely. Will be giving it as a birthday gift for my son. He got the older Nintendo switch from Walmart and it worked well, so I'm confident it will be the same quality. Son was younger and a bit rough, so he cracked his Nintendo switch, but it's still workable. I know he'll take better care of this Lite. Thanks, Walmart!
I had looked at the prices either the day before or earlier that day (I don't recall which exactly, but it was before my paycheck got deposited so I wasn't able to buy it when I initially looked at the prices) and it was around $80 cheaper than when I looked again after I got my paycheck and was able to buy it, so I was bummed that the price went up so much in such a short time
Purchased in June 2023. Purchased protection plan. Joy stick went out in November and now I’m left paying it off the rest of the way with affirm even though Walmart “refunded me the 19.00 for the initial sign up for the Affirm payment” therefore them, stating they were refunding me for the product that was never actually refunding. Another words, my protection plan that I purchased was useless and now I’m being made to pay off a faulty item. Single mom of two boys trying to figure out Christmas and now I have to figure out replacing this nintendo. On top of EVERYTHING else. Terrible purchase!
I gave 2 stars bc they asked for a review prematurely. I didn’t buy these mid November for a random gift; they’re Xmas presents so I have no idea if they will be worth the price yet. I will say that I’m not happy about the raised prices of them. Been $200 since launch and just magically right before Xmas, they raise prices to $225. Guarantee they’ll be $200 again for Black Friday sales and they’ll call it a “deal”. You’re better off buying a Japanese model as they are about $50 cheaper and work the exact same way.
This system is a waste of money. We brought this as a gift for our 3 year old son and literally we have to charge it 4 times a day. How is it considered portable if your constantly hooked to a charger. We dont even taken it out of the house theres no point you'll have to charge it in a hour or so. And the only charger it works with is the one it came with, which is a super short cord. I dont feel safe having to use an extension cord around a 3 year old just for him to be able to watch his game. Just save up and buy the full size Nintendo Switch not this Lite Model. My other son has the OLED model and it doesnt have this problem.
I purchased this Nintendo Switch explicitly listed as "New" from Walmart.com (shipped from a local store). What I received was not only used but completely unusable. The Condition: Upon unboxing, the console was already set up with another customer's user profiles and save data. Worse, the device is currently locked with active Parental Controls requiring a 4-digit PIN. Because of this PIN, I cannot format the system, change settings, or even factory reset the device to wipe the previous owner's data. I was effectively sold a "bricked" console that I cannot use.
I normally don’t write reviews but I this is ridiculous. The bad reviews are correct! My order was late for one and then on top that this is not an American console ! All the instructions and wording on the box is written in another language. Then is was making a weird noise when we tried to power it on. Please save yourself the headache of returning just don’t buy!
