will be alot better. looked on line ,lsome were $30. or more
I find the instructions easy to read and learn. I hope that this is as wonderful as I think that it will be as far as hemming jeans, slacks and dresses.
very easy to use, and holds various different types of fabric together far better than i ever thought possible, great for other iron on items to, it's more convenient than trying to use a big bulky iron. overall it's nice to have around and easy to grab for a quick repair. the stand is a little flimsy, I'd recommend something a little better,a small pyrex dish or similar to just set it down on, or an old glass ash tray i found works incredible, it stays put!
It does work like it is supposed to!
It was real easy to use and it did what I needed it to do! It mended a hem in my pants in like 5 minutes! Quicker than threading a needle and sewing!
Definitely works better than I thought it would. Don't think it's worth the price that it goes for. There are simpler on the go ways of doing this and much easier compared to this. Once you figure it out you are ok. Not sure if it will hold up like it promises but I will update to let you know the results.
I used it to hem a pair of jeans. It is not near as fast as depicted on TV. Per instructions you do about 1 inch every ten seconds. I washed them following the hemming and some parts came loose and had to be redone. I may have not used enough of the powder so that could be my fault - but not sure. I am sure that, if my wife were still here, she could have done a better job in less time, using her sewing machine. However - I feel that this can be made to work for me.
The "glue" which is really a powder doesn't bond very well with the heating apparatus provided. I ended up cranking a regular iron to as hot as it would go, which worked better.
Bought this on clearance for $13.50. One of the worst products I have ever used. It does work to "hem," but not at all worth the trouble. The hot plate on the iron was so small and the end of it kept swiveling around like it wasn't attached well. Also requires that you have the powder, so when you use all of that you'll have to replace it. I'd much rather just use some fabric glue to seal a hem and not have to deal with all of this. Returning ASAP!
Has a plug in cord which is not shown on box or in video. Powder is messy and it pulls apart easily, easier to use stitch witch cut in half with wax paper to protect iron.
