the box is sturdy and came with the strap to keep it closed and/or held down. there are tabs on both sides to help lock down the top. The only thing I'm not fond of is the two vents sticking up on the top. without something covering the entire top from rain, water will get onto the top of your batteries and into the box if directly exposed to rain. I know this because I have the exact same box already in use on a travel trailer. Normally there is a outdoor carpet strapped over the box but it was replace/removed and I found the battery box with water in it and excess water in the battery. I had to evaporate out the excess water in the acid to get the level back down.

Ordered an electric trolling motor and battery box on Sunday afternoon. They were on my front porch the next morning. Received an e-mail almost simultaneously stating they had been delivered, and a photo was included to that effect. Items exactly what I ordered. Don't think you can beat that.

We love this product. We only received half of them though. The online store sent us the ones they had and the others were put on pending (coming from another store). Our local store didn't have them. The ones that the online store had were sent to us and they arrived and are perfect. They fit the batteries and protect them. The strap is a bit tricky to figure out, so we watched a YouTube and found out how to put it on. Then it was easy! Now the ones that didn't show up, the pending ones, Walmart decided would come from a town 10 miles away. But that Walmart called us and told us they had our package and that they deliver everyday to our town, but they refused to deliver this package to us. No reason was given. So, they cancelled it. Never had that happen before. So, we ordered the rest from Home Depot.

Make sure you get the right size for your particular battery.

The battery case is excellent along with the included hold down strap. It was missing one rain vent cap on the lid but I can manage without it. I really like the case as it is constructed well for our Travel Trailer. I will be using it primarily to transport the battery from storage to home after and before camping trips. It should serve my purpose and might eventually install it permanently on the RV.

I've already taken the box back and switched for another, but it is not the size that Walmart.com advertises. There's another review that it being the wrong size as well, but they do mention the exact measurements of the box I recieved.
