Norpro Silicone Pie Crust Shield

This is the second time I have purchased this product since I wanted to bake two pies at the same time. The ring protects the pastry edging from burning yet allows it to brown nicely. It is so much quicker than trying to fashion an aluminum foil ring for that purpose. As far as I can tell, the product lasts forever.

covered the edges of pie so it would not burn. It fits for a large 10 in pie. It came oof very easily without pulling pie crust with it!

Wish I'd gotten one of these a long time ago. Helluva lot easier than tin foil.

I used it when baking my Thanksgiving pies. I have another one that has to be fastened, and it doesn't always stay fastened. I will replace it with another of this kind.

I already have one so I'm giving my daughters each one for Christmas. So now there is no excuse for a burnt piecrust edge anymore. This is such a handy item.

I baked a sausage-cheese-and-spinach quiche for an hour, using my silicone pie crust shield halfway through. The crust was golden brown, with no burning.

Works great and easy cleanup.

i purchased the pie shield with the understanding it would fit a 10" pie plate. Unfortunately this isn't the case. I've tried to stretch it every which way and it even has trouble covering a 9" plate. Am I doing something wrong? I'm assuming it should fit around the perimeter of the plate. I won't return because I seldom return purchases.

Does not fit the standard 9” store bought pie crust. Too big.
