Got this maker last night made my first batch of the summer in it and it was AMAZING. I now own two products from this company (hot chocolate maker) and they work so well and always brings smiles. A Great company and Great Folks helping or house feel like down home. God Bless Nostalgia👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Ice cream in 30 minutes! You do have to mix the ingredients several hours before, but it runs quietly and does the job very well. I am very please with this purchase
Had to replace my old freezer after many years. This is very reasonably priced, american made and completed two delicious batches already. I would recommend. Suggest you follow directions adding plenty of ice and salt to get the proper temperature.
I have made ice cream with 3 ingredients that you put in a bowl and freeze overnight. This ice cream freezer that works like one from my childhood, using recipe my grandmother did, watching it churning, the first taste is so worth the effort for memories you can make.
Easy to follow instructions, made great old fashioned ice cream in 30 minutes. I followed old fashioned vanilla recipe, cooking %26 chilling mixture before starting. Will definitely be making more! Maker is simple to use %26 cleans up good.
I loved taking this out of the box it smells amazing ( the wood). However I was unfortunate and the motor on the one I received wasn't working properly, so I returned it in store and bought the $20 nostalgia ice cream maker and I will say I can definitely tell a difference. It's better to me than the $20 version so I would definitely recommend this maker over that one. The ice stayed colder, it was quieter, slightly longer cord, really nice handle, and it was nice to look at. I hate that I was impatient and didn't wait for a replacement to be shipped, now I have a cyan blue plastic tub that gets water everywhere from ice melting 🤣 I will be purchasing again once I get over my regret lol
great for once a year tradition maybe. weice in a barren wasteland where icencewam shops open for a month and shut down. thought this would be a good alternative. 8lbs of rock salt, 6 bucks for cookies and cream mix, least a bag of ice, for a quart of ice cream. have attempted 2 recipes from the 1500 boom they have, neither have even come close. will say the cookies and cream was good though. but not $15 dollars a quart good.
After first opening the box, I noticed my lid was warped. I had to use the maker anyway because I already had my ice cream mixture made, and ready to go. The lid did not sit down on the canister the way that it should in a little bit of the ice cream came out from under it. When I picked up the maker after it was finished one of the wooden slats slid down because it wasn't attached and I guess I didn't notice anything until it was cold and seemed to shrink the wood down or something. The maker itself worked fine and my ice cream was actually done in about 35 minutes so I was happy with that but I would definitely like a new lid or I'll have to send the whole thing back in order to get a lid that isn't warped and hopefully wood slats that don't slide off
Unit is cheaply made...the gold trim is put on with decorative thumbtacks...used 1 time and bottom trim came off...woodlike slats on plastic container...motor cord is very short...it did freeze me ice cream to soft stage after 30 minutes. for the price, I'd recommend to purchase a reputable brand for a little more $.
I got it and it great except the motor smell hot and did not seem to be good so I returning it but if the mother was good it would have been great I had another ice cream maker and I used that motor to finish
