I like that we can use both the regular ice cubes or make ice in the tray provided for a nice softer smooth shaving. It was a life saver this summer! Very easy to use and quick to make a single serving of shaved ice. It is a little loud but not any more loud than using our electric can opener or air fryer. Also if you're kind of cleaning up in a hurry and for some reason accidentally put the top on backwards like I did once, you can unscrew the thing and get it off again (I had accidentally got the cord stuck between parts when I put it on wrong).
I love that I can use this at home when all my nieces and nephews come over instead of going to the sno cone stand where we have to wait in line in the heat. They love it too!! The ice isn't shaved to the point as the sno cone stand but it's flakier than other shavers I have purchased in the past. I love it
Found this very easy to use. I had 8 of my 13 grandchildren for a week at my home. They had a great memories using it and having great time with their cousins!
I use the round ice molds and get the finest shaved ice ... makes for a perfect sno-cone. 10/10 recommend.
The machine is loud when operating but thats expected since it's shaving ice. The small chips of ice that shoot out of the machine get on whatever surface you place the machine on since there are only 2 walls, front and back, that can contain the ice inside. The machine can be pulled apart to wash, however, I do not see a way to wash the motor side. the best I can do is clean it up with a towel
I like the convenience of a snow cone machine for the Summer that doesn't take too much counter space. The only thing that I don't care for is the shaved ice goes out everywhere from the side openings.
Good product but not very durable. Does the trick but not as well as I would like. Returning for a replacement because it is discolored at the top and the lid broke the moment I tried lifting it up to add more ice. I'm hoping for a better turnout next go round.
the plastic cup that used to make ice broke the first time I used it. It cracked when it was in the freezer and water went all over the place. I emailed the company for a replacement but they keep making me jump through hoops to get a replacement. I use something else to make ice with and the Machine seems to work pretty good so far. but if it should stop working I probably won't be able to get it warrantied because the company sucks. If you buy this and use the cup that comes with the machine to make ice don't expected to last. Mine broke the first time I used. I use one of those small round plastic food containers you get at a deli that they used to put macaroni salad in. If the machine breaks within 3 months I'll just return it to Wal-mart. The machine works good except for the plastic cup but the company sucks.
I was very disappointed with this machine. The ice, once shaved, shoots off to the side rather than in the cup. And for some crazy reason the syrup does not get soaked up by the ice, it just sits there on top. Can't tell what caused this. I'm going to try loosening the screws to try to make the shavings so thin.
i ordered this ice shaver in sept this year it was 38.53... im ordering it for my brother in dec same year 4 mo later its 59.99 why the big increase ?
