Novogratz Brittany Futon, Blue Linen

I bought this on sale and new what I was getting as soon as I did. It's an attractive piece of furniture that is made of low end materials so treat it gently. It was very easy to assemble and will be easy to keep clean. Probably not the best if you're looking for longevity or if you have tweens, teens, or active college students as the arm rests are secured very low into thin wood. For our apartment it is perfect.

Assembly was fairly straightforward. But upon gently rolling it upright (you to assemble it upside down to screw on the legs), 3 screws tore out from one wooden leg! The wood was so soft that it wouldn't hold the screws. Fortunately I rotated the leg enough to have access to "fresh" wood surface to re-screw them in. And gently lifted the whole sofa and rested it straight down. So the leg absolutely cannot take any lateral forces! Beyond that, the overall feel of the sofa seems good. Fabric is nice, cushioning is firm and even. I've used a mattress pad to cover it when I need to convert it to a temporary guest bed; which felt comfortable enough. One thing to note is because the fabric is light colored, you have to be really careful with stains. Take extra care with eating/drinking while sitting on this sofa, and this also means this sofa is not suitable for families having young kids or pets.

quality of the item itself is pretty sturdy. the assembly wasn't bad as well. The arms of it are very cheap and small though so beware of leaning on them. the "linen" it is made out of as well is so cheap I wouldn't have ordered if I realized the fabric. It snags on anything and everything and is hard to get stains out of. will need to buy a couch cover and for the extra $50 for that I could have gotten a better couch.

The color and shape are beautiful. Assembly was pretty straight forward. Once assembled there were three issues. As stated by others, the arms are very weak. The two backrest panels don't quite match up evenly. Lastly, two of the legs were very wobbly and crunchy, as if the wood under the fabric is damaged. Given its cuteness I have reinforced these areas with metal brackets to try and save it. We shall see! Oh, and it's kinda trash as a sleeper.

it looks good was easy to assemble, however, it is not sturdy, the arm rests jeeps wiggling regardless how hard to screw them, and the seat is not comfortable, as it is not filled and you can feel yhe empty inside( where yhe other peaces were stored for shipping).

i have had this futon for 31 days and ive only actually had it out of the box for two weeks ....and the stitching is coming out/undone. pretty couch. poor quality. im very disappointed.

Terrible, terrible quality. It took forever to assemble, and once it was assembled in one piece, the screws didn't hold in the super-cheap particleboard arms. As soon as we sat down on the couch and leaned against one of the arms, we could hear the wood and screws separating, making it wobbly and loose. KEEP YOUR BOX if you buy this, because you WILL be disappointed and want to return it.

it's very uncomfortable to sit on there's no support in what are supposed to be cushions. They actually sink in when you sit on them making it feel like you're sitting on a piece of wood with that in mind, laying on it is worse

I had to give it one star, I ordered mustard got denim, no one ever replied to me about the mix up and it's not sturdy. You get what you pay for. It's literally trash.
