Yummy!

Amanda January 24, 2021

The food is yummy and I can see how this would work. I actually just want to order again because I like having these items on hand to incorporate in my diet anyways. The only thing I would say is negative is still a lot of planning/prepping to include veggies with the meals. If I just ate the meals, I would starve.

Tasty meals

Susan March 15, 2021

I bought this for my husband to jumpstart his diet. The food really tastes pretty good. You do not feel like you are eating diet food. The portions are filling. He lost 3 pounds on it and will continue to purchase this kit for a few more weeks to train him on portion control, and to lose 3-4 more pounds.

Great way to try nutrisystem without a commitment

Amy September 1, 2020

I was so happy to come across this on Walmart.com. I bought it I noticed a difference even after the 5 days not a huge difference but it was a difference. if you're like me and you don't have a lot of money and you want to try Nutrisystem I would recommend getting this product.

Lost 15 pounds so far!

msmar March 5, 2021

I purchase this plan a couple of times as I like the variety. Unfortunately I cant seem to find it anymore at the Walmart stores so happy they still have it online. Shipping was fast and plan to buy again. It does work if you are committed. Lost 15 pounds so far!

Surprisingly delicious & satisfying!

onadiet January 23, 2020

I've avoided kits like this before because I worry that they won't taste great or that I'll still be hungry, but the items in this kit are surprisingly delicious & satisfying! My favorites are the Rotini & Meatballs and the Double Chocolate Muffin. Note: I sampled this product as part of a Walmart employee review event.

Missing items and a lot of bean bolognese.

Jennifer April 9, 2026

Not only am I missing three dinners and one lunch, but I received a lot of one item, especially in the dinner department. Of the twelve dinners I did receive, seven are the bean bolognese. I would have preferred a bit more variety. A couple more of a couple of the others sent would have been fine. Is it possible to have the missing items sent?

Sample some food before joining the program.

Lawrence June 29, 2021

I decided to take this lower approach and try some of the food before signing up for a plan. Eat the food, lose the weight works. Lost 7 lbs in 5 days and was never hungry. Small portions, put down the fork between bites, drink something and stretch the small meal out.

Not impressed

Alezia April 18, 2020

My first/last Nutrisystem experience. I tried 1 Red and 1 Green Kickstart kit - 5 days each. After strictly following these plans for the 10 days (5 days Red and 5 days Green), I only lost 2 pounds - so there was no "kickstart" for me, and I won't be repurchasing. You must add in their turbo shakes (as morning snack), which are sold separately. Also, you will be adding non-starchy vegetables (I used mostly broccoli). The portions are so small (mostly packets/cups) you will be grateful for the added veggies. There is so little to eat, they even suggest you LIMIT your exercise the first 7 days; I can see why. I recommend the Red kit over the Green kit, because the Green kit contained too many bars. I really disliked the Tuna packet and Nacho Puffs in the Red kit, but the rest of the food was edible. Bottom line, for 2lbs lost in 10 days (at $110 for 2 kits and shakes), not worth it for me. If you still want to try it, I recommend Walmart for ease of ordering and quick delivery.

False advertising, bait-and-switch Meal Kit!

Nancy June 4, 2026

I had ordered this 5 day kit in the past and was always pleased with the variety but this time it was a whole new experience and not a good one. Unfortunately I ordered two kits this time. Out of the ten dinners, six were Bean Bolognese, arguably the worst dinner in the Nutrisystem lineup. Mushy pasta, mushy beans, and a sauce that tastes like bean water. They don't even sell it in their a la carte selections on their site anymore. Considering that there are other reviews here complaining about getting too many Bean Bolognese dinners I can only think that Nutrisystem is dumping them all on those buying meal kits through Walmart. And the lunches? Out of ten lunches, I got two tuna salad pouches and the rest were meal bars, no mac and cheese, no Kung Pao noodles, nothing but meal bars and a couple of tuna salad pouches. The breakfasts were granola and more meal bars, no oatmeal. I understand that there may be a need for substitutions at times but this was a total bait-and-switch situation, completely false advertising. I used to be able to pick up this meal kit at the Walmart store and it had everything as listed on the box but that's not possible anymore. It now comes directly from Nutrisystem and it seems that Nutrisystem is using the meal kit to get rid of the items its members don't want.
