This is a lifesaver with kids in Az, and no they cant get there tiny fingers in the fan. I have both rechargeable and the battery operated ones love them both. Definitely recommended getting these!

About 3 yrs ago, my friend got me a 02COOL neck fan. I'm a menopausal Caregiver, whose clients have their homes quite warm. The breeze from this fan keeps me from being very sweaty, and I use it a good 6 hrs a day! My first fan had dropped so many times, from my hands, causing a loose connection, so I was tickled when I found them online at Wal-Mart :) and at such a good price! I ordered two because they were so cheap. I give the 02COOL fans two thumbs up!!!

I bought 3 of these because I knew if I had one everyone would want to "borrow it" just for a bit. Yep, last night we were at a concert in the park in 97 degree heat under the sun. I pulled out my 02Cool Deluxe Necklace Fan and my family laughed at me. After awhile my husband, daughter and her friend were asking to borrow it. They were grateful when I pulled out two more to share. I put the long life batteries in them and they lasted all day and into the evening non-stop. Mom didn't look so silly then.

Amazing how this plastic fan really works. It keeps you cool without overwhelming your face. I had it going for almost 7 hours straight and it has not lost battery strength. Will buy more for friends who enjoy the outdoors more than I do. Great item, really.

These are great little fans. I got a pair so that I could give one to my mother, and the other to my granddaughter. They are both happy with them. The only thing that I don't love about them is that they only have one fan speed. The rechargeable one has 3 speeds. I highly recommend both types. They're wonderful for hot days and hot flashes.

We bought one of these fans at Walmart (when we went to pick up extra O2Cool handheld fans - a big hit last year). This one didn't come with batteries (as the handheld one had); so, we didn't try it until we were home. We were amazed at the power of the fan and felt the hands-free nature made this a "must have" for walking and enjoying outdoor events. We went back for more and have purchased several for family members; purchasing on Walmart.com made it easy to have them shipped directly to the far away family members. (Most women thought the men in the family would prefer the DARK PURPLE, rather than the brighter colors...jury is still out.) The pull-apart safety feature of the cord's clasp makes it fairly easy to put on and take off after shortening the cord, but we added cord locks to make them easily adjustable.

If you play cards or anything else and it gets a little warm slip this great little fan over your head and you will feel cooler right away. I even took it to walk the dog one afternoon when the temps were high and the air was still. Great help. It is pretty quiet too.

I have purchased several of these fans, but they were the rechargeable type. The issue there, is once they start winding down, you have to wait for them to charge back up, in order to use again. This time I tried the battery operated style, to eliminate that problem. Unless you just like buying batteries, I highly suggest investing in some rechargeable ones. I have several, which was another reason I bought this style. As for the fan, my only complaint, is that it only has one speed, where the rechargeable style has two. Everything else, is pretty much the same. I wear mine daily at work, and recommended it to others, all of the time. It certainly makes my job more bearable. Note- this fan will not help you, if you are hiking or working outdoors. Its not an air conditioner. It blows the existing air up towards your face. I suppose that technically it is probably a bit cooler, but if its hot outside, it won't help. The fan is lightweight and has very little noise.

I purchased several of these fans for the family. They did come in handy on hot days, but unfortunately, they were not too powerful; you get a nice breeze from them on the first day or two of new batteries, but it starts to slow down by the second day. I still carry them everywhere I go because they are travel-friendly. They come in nice colors> I also enjoy the shape and placement of the fan. The breeze hits the front of the face, as others with fans placed under the sides of the neck often seem not comfy the ears. Overall, the concept is great, but the power of the fan needs improvement. It would be better if they where rechargable.

l didn't know it worked by batteries. Batteries are too expensive and they didn't last a full work week.The previous fan was Rechargeable..l love the Rechargeable kind.
