These eye drops are different. They add real moisture and are very soothing. Its also very convenient for on the go use, since the dosing containers are small and easy to slide in a pocket. I do think that each one gives about 3 doses. I have MGD, which makes the eyes very dry and uncomfortable. These really healp me.

Well, I had my cataracts done but less than a year later I couldn't see worth a darn; so I had my yearly eye exam & he was appalled at my vision. Immediately I went to the ophthamologist who had done my surgery & he recommended the Retaine MGD eye drops as well as a particular brand of fish oil. It seems I had dry eyes. I knew my eyes were dry of a morning but they seemed fine the rest of the day so I hadn't thought much about it, but GOSH!....after 1 day of using the fish oil & drops I could see so much better! It makes sense because if your cornea is dry & therefore dehydrated & rippled it would be like trying to see out of wavy glass. Try it if you have dry eyes; I think you'll be amazed.

Eye drops easy to use. Container has leftover drops but must be discarded after use so there is some waste. I use two drops per eye. Single use containers because of sterile problems if you try to use the leftover drops.

The Retaine was recommended by my eye doctor when I could not afford the cost of the prescription drug.

I have always had dry eyes but as I get older it has gotten worse and my optometrist suggested that I use Retaine MGD 4 times a day. Its not oily, my eyes clear very quickly, my eyes feel good and refreshed and I actually think I can see more clearly. My only complaint is that its not cheap and only comes in single dose containers that has way too much in them and no way to safely keep it so you end up throwing away a lot that you have of course paid for, Very wasteful! But it does work well.
