Don't get pig ears or leather rawhides etc. I say this in front of my Carin mix and she goes gaga. I used to give these to our Rottweiler mixes. size of you shin bone. no rough brittle spots. Price is great for something that lasts MONTHS for large dogs.
I recently tried the Ol' Roy Natural Large Beef Femur for my dog, and it has been a fantastic product overall. The bone is large, naturally smoked, and has a hearty aroma that immediately caught my dog's attention. It kept him happily occupied for a long time, and the durability of the bone makes it a great value for strong chewers. The size and weight also make it feel like a premium, long‑lasting treat. One thing to keep in mind is safety once the bone has been chewed down. Like many natural bones, it can develop sharp edges over time, so it's important to monitor your dog during use and remove the bone if it becomes too worn or splintered. With proper supervision, it's a satisfying and enjoyable chew that dogs really seem to love. Overall, it's a fantastic product...just be mindful of wear and tear to keep your pet safe.
My pit bull and Labrador Retriever love these. I got them one each to see how they each reacted to them. The pit bull is a heavy chewer and his lasted a week. Did not splinter. He enjoyed his so much. My Lab took longer on his. He is older and just took his time with his. Of coarse I removed them once they got to the very core of the bone. Definitely will buy again!
It lasts and she loves it! wee bit messy at first with her slobbering but that was just proof of how good it was!
You'll be just as excited as your pooch to see this! It's huge and dinosaur-like. I don't recommend buying the two pack because one came splintered too badly for my other dog to use. Can't really return half. So, one is chewing away in pure bliss while the other is watching and barking. Could easily cause a fight. It's a little bit greasy. But, definitely not too much. Less greasy than pig ears, etc. It's still messy. So, I put mine on a blanket. I included a picture of my 90lb 11yo pibble next to it so you could see how enormous it is. It looks like it's just shy of a foot and a half long and about five or more inches at its widest parts. Perfect size for any age or breed really, from Great Dane to Chihuahua. It helps their Teeth, Breath, Behavioral Health and overall well being. It's also much cheaper than a Dental Cleaning. The King Of All Bones! Give me a thumbs up if this helped. :)
Great price. These are the same size as the Mammoth bones from Chewy but $7.00 less. I buy these for my 150 lb 10 month old Cane Corso. When they don't come cracked in half they are great. He loves them. I have gotten them where they are broken when they arrive %26 I cannot give it to him because the edges are sharp %26 dangerous for him.
This bone was great but way too big. You need to have the butcher cut into 5-6 inch pieces to be manageable for a dog of any size. I ordered 2 of them and I was shocked at the size. They looked like Dinosaur bones they were so big.
my dog isn't very big and when I get a delivery the bone is three and half bone. Too big for my dog.
I have purchased this in the past and as soon as I opened it I could tell it was not like the ones I had purchased before but I figured they made it so when you opened it there wouldn't be a lot of skin falling off. I gave it to my dog and he couldn't get enough of it as usual. It wasn't until he vomited up bone shards did I realize that this bone didn't shave off pieces like the ones in the past. I took him to the veterinarian had X-rays done and was told I was very lucky that he had vomited up the shards, if he had not she would have operated before they could have done serious damage. This product is dangerous and I hope no dog is harmed because they changed the way they make it
Be very careful with these. My dog barely chewed on hers and small pieces splintered off of it almost immediately. My husband had to take it away from her. There are way better and safer bones out there.
