Simple/cheap bypass to Vizio's Smartcast, which is increasingly eliminating features like Google photos in ambient mode and apps like Spotify. I wish it had a sleep timer feature, though. I still have to use the TV remote for that. I love that I can see my cameras right on the screen.

This device is almost identical to the Amazon firestik. It has all of the same apps on it and it's very easy to install. If your have a good Internet connection it gets really good reception and I'm very pleased with the remote that comes with it because it's very easy to use with voice activation as well and it comes with the batteries. I'm very pleased overall.

I've never been disappointed by an Onn. product! This streaming device is easy to install and use. The remote is great, I love the quick access buttons. I would highly recommend

Device works great, and performs all functions on my Older TV to make it work as good or better than my actual Google TV. 2 Problems (So far) When trying to add a Receiver for sound, the options for different vendors come up but when selecting (in my case Pioneer), the button programming just doesn't seem to try and cycle any remote's for the Receiver, saying "Please use the ONN 4K Remote to set up" which is exactly what I was doing. Following many attempts in once case the set volume tried to cycle through a list of 7, but failed. Seems like a fault for adding a receiver when wanting to control only the power for the receiver (I used to do this nicely with a FireStick). IE: I'd like the remote to turn and off the receiver with the TV and device. Second on older TV (Sharp 1080p), the screen by default is zoomed in just a bit too much. I know these devices (Onn 4k Stick) can adjust the zoom level (with third , but there is no Android setting to do it. Would be a better viewing experience if it was adjustable without 3rd party assistance.

I like the speed of the device in general over the fire stick, plus the fact this won't block apps we want to use like others do🤬. So I will be letting my friends and family know about this device that are looking for something else that just works. Easy to set up but I recommend just entering the Wi-Fi password because the home app does not do it it takes forever. And be patient because the first initial update does take a while to actually load I would say 10 minutes.

I have purchased 2 of these boxes and one of the onn pro . I bought them to replace my firesticks. These are great boxes. I never would have thought Wal-Mart would blow firestick out. If you havent got get one.. They are just that good. $19 should be $35

I’ve been using Amazon Fire Sticks for streaming for several years. I was gifted an older flatscreen tv and wanted to get one to stream on it but decided I would try the Onn Google one because it was cheaper and in 4k. I have to say, it is awesome and way better than my Fire Sticks! I didn’t want to spend the money for 4k on those because of the price but this is so affordable and makes everything I stream super crisp and clear. I’m thinking of changing out all my TVs for this device! 10/10

This little thing is great! even faster than my actual Google TV. The only thing is, it was a pain to set up because it wanted me to use Google home after I connected to Wi-Fi, then after I downloaded Google home it failed to connect 3 times reset the box somehow so I had to do everything over again. but I just ditched Google home and set up with the remote.

I love the operation of this device. It's a firestick plus it's a chromecast device all in one. I had to purchase this one because the first one no longer works after an update that Failed! I contacted your customer support about the incident, and was directed to supply evidence about the situation showing what was going on and how it came to be. I thought I would get some help but after about week I received a reply telling me that I would not. It boiled down to the fact that i could not prove it was less than a year old, which it wasn't but because their update service caused the situation. ONN support has since changed or rewritten the new update and now apparently works alright. Unfortunately my previous device is hopelessly "bricked" and may never work again! The only bright side is that it's "only" 20$. But I'm sure I could have used that for something else indeed. It's kinda weird that a corporation as large as Walmart wouldn't back their products even after the warranty time expires because of some poorly thought out update that caused irreparable damage to their products. I was not a one only case, based on forums I consulted inquiring about this issue. Some people were given the option to replace their devices, while others were not. So, final thoughts, when it works it's great! But have an issue, it's not.

The device hardware itself is actually pretty good, but I found myself annoyed by the Google TV software. There is no offline setup or airplane mode! You HAVE to use a Google account no matter what - I've NEVER had a device force me to use an account like this. No bypass, no developer option, no airplane mode, it just bricks itself if you don't login. You MUST install their promotional apps. It even tries to get you to install an app on your phone in the setup! Once you do login and get past the mandatory Google Home integration (I don't have that) and app bloat installation, the entire device basically just becomes a billboard in your living room. You pay *your* money that *you* worked for to put a billboard in *your* house that is then used to present *you* with 100 other things you can buy (and Google takes their cut). And no, you don't get paid any cut of the money they make presenting ads on *your* device! Only about 2% of the interface is actually stuff you set up yourself, the rest is all just ads and preinstalled apps you can't disable or remove. I wouldn't even care if they just gave me a way to disable this junk - hide it 10 pages deep in the settings for all I care, but the disable switch needs to exist. There's no way to hide / disable the useless Gemini feature (it's not even real AI! what am I doing with Gemini pre-written prompts on a TV? It's literally a glorified text page). And it's still using MicroUSB, not USB-C. As for the 2% of the interface I actually use, yes I can watch my movies and shows on this thing. The redeeming quality is that it technically runs Android, so you have the Google Play store and can put Android apps on this and run them. That's cool for games and stuff, and if you connect a bluetooth xbox controller instead of using the remote, it can be a good experience. Can't run super heavy stuff but it can run some basic 2D games and things. Roblox also has a Google TV app, so you can play some basic Roblox games too (but you probably want a controller).
