I have been using this brand of cams for many years and I can say they have improved drastically and I can recommend them. I have probably 10 at this point all over the property. This particular one is the most affordable. you can put a micro SD card in it so you don't have to pay a monthly fee for anything but you have the option for more features which I don't use at this time. They are so affordable that if they do break after the one year warranty, you can just buy another. I have had two fail and those were used outside. WYZE has excellent customer service online and via email and you really can't go wrong. Set up is easy. Honestly much easier than it used to be with these.

This is a great wired security camera Simple installation Awesome video resolution If you consider a subscription it's not very expensive big plus. I'll be replacing my older cameras now

Bought these camera to update my v2's. I had already hardwired the power on v2's through my garage walls and the new OGs accepted the plugs perfectly. The nighttime resolution on these are amazing with or without using the built in spotlight. I would recommend these cameras for new or upgrade equipment.

Absolutely love this camera, super easy to install didn't even take me 5 minutes to have it screwed in and on and checking it out. With night mode it's super easy to see everything in detail, it does have a security alarm that's loud and (annoying but it works really well and is loud)/panic button with extremely bright lights that flash to help scare animals or the elusive thief back out to the yonder lol. It also has a check in safety feature that will call 911 for you or your local police if you haven't checked in writhing a certain time which this is completely customizable and we don't personally use it but I love that it's available if needed. The alerts you can personalize and for a cheap price of 2$ a month you can add person detection and it actually works for each of my girls it easily tells them apart which is super cool and helps knowing that they made it off the bus. You don't have to pay for the subscription for it to save footage you just have to have a micro SD card. No delay in the live watch. We use it as a baby camera and security camera all in one since you can add as many as you want to watch your entire property all within the same app and you can name each camera so you can differentiate which is which. It's absolutely worth the price and then some!!

The telephoto function works fine but there was no mention in the online info that this was not a zoom function which is normally what a telephoto function does. They have also removed the capability of recording via your Cam Lite + service so all you can do is purchase Cam Plus or insert a an SD card to record 12s events. Nothing else special about this camera. Very disappointed!

did not receive. delivered to wrong apt. the wrong ppl have it! investigate pls. they should NOT BE ALLIWED TO KEEP IT. I HAVE TO ORDER PAYFOR ANOTHER. MAY BE ON FLOOR ABOVE ME. 4 APTS THERE.

I purchased both the OG cameras and the V4 both required a subscription, I did not want, I sent both back to Wyze , with a letter saying that your policy has changed without noting that. Very disappointed. I have several V2 & V3 , so do friends, I let them know and they are also disappointed. We all stopped using Wyze now. SORRY.!

Your programmers continue to disallow the use of special characters in the password configuration for any of your Wyze video systems connection with WiFi. As an noted IT Pro who has been in the field for over thirty years, if I'm forced to changed a complex multi-router configuration to suit the limited special characters password in your Wyze systems or create a guest/special account for that singular purpose, your cameras are useless to me. None of the other numerous video monitoring systems using WiFi have that contraint. Surely, your database servers can accomodate this, MS SQL Server, Oracle, or PHP...anyone?

I don't do tech well. I purchased one and have used for a few years. No issues. I purchased this and accessories. I can't get it to work. I looked up the solution and it said it is not compatible with with My other wyze camera That's why it doesn't work because I own another one of Your products?
