I'm an IT Professional and needed a cheap-but-not-awful wired keyboard for various purposes. I've been burned quite often by electronics from Amazon and the last pair of keyboards I got from them for around the same price as this one were no exception. This keyboard is surprisingly comfortable, quiet, and doesn't lack in any of the keys needed to use a computer effectively. I especially like the presence of function (F) keys and that the default behavior for them is NOT the Fn shortcuts they have as well (media controls, etc), since I typically use these keyboards in a context where only the numbered F keys matter. Well worth the price. Might get more soon just in case they disappear - can't imagine them improving on this in any way.

This is a good basic keyboard that is budget friendly. If you just need something that will get the job done without spending a lot then choose this one. My keyboard and my sons both went out at roughly the same time, so I bought two of these. They work like a charm and we both are satisfied with them.

I ordered this keyboard on the same day delivery program through my Walmart app/website. It's a chicklet style and may be a slight problem for some touch typists because of the dimensions of the keys, and in particular their height. The keys protrude upward slightly higher than the deck of the keyboard and this creates a feel that increases the adjustment curve. I've been using a DasKeyboard mechanical German engineered Cherry switch keyboard for over 2 years now. That is a classic style keyboard with an IBM typewriter feel. Baby Boomers can understand this (like me). When moving onto a millennial chicklet key style keyboard be prepared for a slightly longer adjustment period. The quality of this ONN/Walmart keyboard is good and even though the keystrokes have a short travel they are quiet, and have a nice bounce. Of course, opinions vary. USB plug and play is a plus.

This is a good little keyboard, however... The keyboard is good for the basic job of typing however the lettering on the keyboard is very thin and there is no backlighting. The thin lettering makes viewing the keys a bit difficult, I bought this without noticing the keys and characters are not backlit and was a bit disappointed how thin and the character imprints on the keys is. I would not recommend this for anyone who relies on seeing the characters on the keys to help them with typing. In other words you should be able to type without looking at the keys. This keyboard would do in a pinch, but for overall comfortable usage I do not recommend this due to thin lettering, light imprints on the keys and no backlighting at all. NOTE: The camera has automatically adjusted the photo so it is sharper than in real life.

I type heavily, wearing off the letters. I have to replace the keyboard fairly often. This keyboard needs brighter letters as I have trouble with reading them. Easy to plug in USB. I like this keyboard layout as I have used it for years. The height of the keys are not high enough.

The keyboard works fine...but the letters or symbols printed on the keys is so light that I can barely see them if the light is not shining directly on them or the room itself is not otherwise well-lit. And since I sit with my back to the one light in the room, I cannot tell you how many times I have had to start my typing over, due to typing the wrong letter/number/symbol. In fact, I actually took some of my wife's fingernail polish and dabbed some on the home keys (f and j) just so I could at least get my fingers on the home keys. It would have been a fine keyboard and well worth the cost EXCEPT FOR THAT. If the letters had been more visible, I would have thought I'd gotten an awesome deal. Alas, the keys do not have a good contrast between the letter on the key and the black key itself.

The middle Home/Pg Down section is 2x3 instead of 3x2, so my muscle memory for spacing is off when I switch from the 10 key to letters for typing. Came working and isn't bad if you just need a keyboard. My fault for not looking closely before purchasing. Target has a regular cheap keyboard for about the same price, so I'll probably get that instead.

I got this mainly because I needed a new keyboard and I didn't want to spend a lot of money, thinking they are all basically the same. I was wrong. This keyboard is not very good. I spent so much time having to backspace and retype things because it wouldn't put in the spaces. And typing in general on the keys never felt smooth. Lesson learned.

I do NOT care for this keyboard. The key identification is barely visiable, being very dim, key identification is a very dull gray making them difficult to identify, response of keys is very delayed. Repeat letters/numbers/symbols difficult as speed is delayed, waiting for repeat choice to appear. Backspace is slow and delayed, also. Maybe okay for "hunt and peck" but don't plan of speedy typing. I am replacing this NEW keyboard I've only had a week because of the slow response of the keystrokes and dull key identification. Not worth the money I spent. Would NOT purchase again or recommend!

I've bought this twice, and both times something has gone wrong. The last one had a faulty cord; this time, the number keys at the top stopped working. I didn't even get a full month of use. The price is OK if you need something right now while waiting for a replacement to come in, but do not buy it for regular use. You might as well consider it a disposable keyboard—good for only a couple of weeks.
