Terrible container and horribly expensive

Sharon May 22, 2026

My eye Dr recommended that I use this. It's to expensive and small to handle. I had to use the tip of a knife to open the hole. Being elderly and having to use it twice daily is very difficult to squeeze the hard plastic tube to get it to drip into my eyes

Eyes burn when using this

FireBawlin May 12, 2026

My eyes burn badly during the first few drops everyday but it is actually very effective when using it consistently. I have dry eyes and corneal scars due to incomplete blinking. If your scenario is the same as mine and it burns to use this, just instill one drop every 5 minutes at least 4 times and it won't burn anymore. The burning is probably because your corneal layer is badly damaged too; otherwise, it is very soothing and the effect is long lasting afterwards.

Soothing and Long Lasting Optase MGD

MPHL October 23, 2025

I found Optase when looking for healthy alternatives to the tears formulation I was offered by my opthamoligist. I told her that I preferred Optase brand for its safer formulations. I found Optase Dry Eye Intense Drops in the many drugstores I checked, but not the OPTASE® MGD Advanced Dry Eye Drops. So finally I ordered them from the source. Best eye drops ever. So soothing, and I trust my eye health with the brand.

Helpful but hard to dispense at times

KateB November 19, 2025

This was recommended by my eye doctor for issues with my eyelid glands. I think it works well and is worth the money but towards the end of the bottle, it was hard to get drops to come out and then when they did, a whole lot would come out all at once. This is stuff is pretty expensive so I'm disappointed in that happening. Nevertheless, I will keep using it. I'm hoping the next bottle will be better.

Quality drops.

Kevin January 19, 2026

Great quality definitely helps with symptoms but the bottle design can be a nightmare. I was stuck with half a bottle of drops because of a defective bottle design.

Helpful but not a replacement

Flaggal January 2, 2026

This product has an oil base so it lasts better than a gel drop. However, it is extremely expensive and only lasts about two weeks. Plus it is one of those hard plastic bottles which are very difficult for arthritic hands. I wish it came in vials. I have found that a cool drop is most soothing for my eyes and this is definitely not cool so I tried refrigerating it. I had to wait for it to reward to use it. I guess it has one of those oils that solidify when cold.

I found these eye drops very hard to use . The bottle was small and you have to squeeze it very hard to get a drop out. Often, I had to use both hands, which was very difficult with the tiny bottle. At first, the drops actually seemed to provide better relief than my usual brand. But my eyes became itchy and I had to stop using them. It's difficult to find over the counter eye drops for MGD but, for me, these aren't the answer.

no more MGD--can't tolerate the "sticky"

Anonymous November 9, 2025

QUALITY: Excellent. My bottle has a long shelf life (2 years beyond the date I received it. DRY EYE RELIEF: Poor. I've been using Optase MGD drops off and on for a few years while conducting comparatives with other brands. I WON'T BUY the MGD again due to the sticky eye feeling it leaves about an hour after using them. Next Optase purchase will be the Hylo version. EASE OF USE: Poor. I either squeeze too much out or not enough. It's probably an old people thing, but I don't like these types of delivery bottles. The old-school droppers worked much better. PRICE: This seller had the best price found-- over $5.00 less than elsewhere.

Worked great until it didn't.

Bri March 10, 2026

I'm very familiar with how this style of preservative free eye drop bottle works. I used this package of drops 2-3 times with no incident, the drops take awhile to come out but that's a caveat of preservative free drops. I'm aware of how the airlock works. However, after using this bottle for a day- no more drops will dispense. I've sat here 2-3 times now for twenty minutes each time trying to coax out any drops at all. I don't know what is going wrong here, I'm doing nothing differently than I typically do to get these trips to dispense. This is my first time ordering them off Walmart instead of directly on the manufacturer site, and I'm incredibly disappointed. I feel I've thoroughly troubleshooted these drops/bottle and I have essentially a full bottle that won't dispense, and severely dry eyes going untreated while I wait for a new bottle from somewhere else. I don't know what might be different with this batch but I do not recommend purchasing them anywhere but the manufacturer directly.

I don't think is worth the money I should have asked for a prescription drop it would have been cheaper after a while the dropper gets clogged and you have to make a larger hole I think the next time I see the doctor I will ask for a prescription I am 70 years old and only get social security and buying this every month plus my bills leaves me short for the month
