My Optimus 10" box fan replaced one that was almost identical and only two years old, which still functioned as a fan but was so noisy and had so much vibration I just couldn't have it on when I was in the room. The Optimus moves a lot of air, is quiet, and has little or no vibration. Yeah!
There's a nine foot wide room across the back of our garage. It's home to the dogs' beds and dishes, the counter with the cats' dishes and my workbench and computer desk, which is the only place other than outside that I smoke. There's was a fan on a shelf in front of the 16" x 24" window to vent the smoke and suck out at least some of the pet dander. It was kind of noisy and didn't clear the place as well as I wanted – pet dander and fan-cooled hard drives don't mix all that well. It also occasionally got knocked off the shelf by a cat who wanted a turn at the window. Now, the shelf is gone and there are two 10" box fans that fit in the window, do a great job and I can hear my wife calling me from the kitchen again. Two of these little beauties make a lot less noise than one old table top fan. The cats have to stick their heads out the door to see if it's raining, but the dogs and I can live with that.
This is the second one of this model I have had. My first lasted about four years with almost constant use on high. It ran quietly and moved a fare amount of air.
I love this small fan! It is nice and quiet. It has two speeds that are very efficient. Light enough to carry around from room to room. Perfect for on your desk or the counter when the kitchen gets too warm. I am very pleased with the quality and the price.
This is my second 10" fan. Works great. My husband built a shelf for it to put into our sliding windows in our Arizona room. I have had my first fan for at least 5 years. It is starting to make alittle noise when I turn it on so I bought this one. The fan is on at least 100 hours a week.
This is the best 10" fan for the money. Easy to use with only on/off, 1 speed 2 speed . No remote. On speed 1, airflow is slow. On speed 2, airflow is medium. The fan air flow blows out 6 feet. It does not rotate so its easy to position, one stable placement. Ive used this fan about 6 months now, summer and winter, 1 00 degrees down to 40 degrees. I use it daily to focus air flow, with both central air conditioning and winter furnace heat. It's is cheap and easy for seniors to use.
This 12" fan "just fit" a very tight space. There are tons of 20" fans available everywhere. Walmart was the only place I could find the size I wanted. Very pleased. Thanks, guys.
Would like it a little stronger on High, but good enough to keep. Also, would like a somewhat longer cord.
I was very disappointed in the size for the price I paid
I'm happy that it fit in our little windows and runs relatively quiet, however, it hardly moves any air. I am looking for replacements. Until then, they are still in our windows - I figure they are better than nothing for now.
