Have you been in a hockey rink? The griddle is just as big. LOTS OF ROOM for burgers, dogs and sweet smelling sausage. All of this in one griddle at one time. Big surface with lots of cooking space making kitchen time easier. Pancakes...? How about 8 at a time with warning tray under griddle top. This is a winner and I say go for it! Dennis K1LGQ, NH.
The warming tray is awesome. It is a great plus. clean up is so easy, the heating time is quick and it cooks the food very even. Great added piece to my kitchen.
I bought this griddle because of its size. We've had a similar one from Oster before. It cooks our food evenly and cleans easily. We also like the warming drawer. It keeps cooked food warm so that everything is just right when it's time to eat. I wish the plug was longer though but it isn't because it's a safety feature. I like Oster products. You get good quality at great prices.
You do need a lot of space to store it. We had to rearrange a cabinet to accommodate it. But it is worth it to be able to cook so many pancakes at one time. The storage drawer is great too!
I loved the size but never used it! I received for Christmas gift 2020 and a piece of the black frame cracked and broke off close to the grease tray! Daughter requested a replacement and the new replacement was received with almost the same crack, just closer to the handle. Sent them both back and she got a refund!
used it day after receiving. Pancakes @375 degrees. was hearing pops from griddle while heating up and while cooking . Last batch, thank God, heard another pop and a crack. strip on frame popped out a bit on one end. This same end didn't seem to cook as fast, less heat. once it cooled, I looked at the bottom and saw a crack, right next to the screw of legs and framework. Hard to believe this is an Oster. I loved this griddle until I used it. So dissatisfied and disappointed. Tried to add photos, but I apparently don't know how.
Completely disappointed that none of the parts are dishwasher safe when it says right on the front of the box that it has dishwasher safe parts. I dont mind washing things by hand but when I look for specific things in an appliance to help save time then I expect to get what I am promised. The inside directions say none of the parts are ishwasher safe. If the griddle, drip tray and warming tray are not dishwasher safe then which parts are?
Initially, this griddle was great. I read the instructions and always followed the steps to turn it on and off. A few months into owning it though, I would turn the griddle on, it would overheat beyond the reasonable temp I selected (325-375) and burn the first batch of pancakes. I would then turn the temp down a bit for the next batch. The problem is that instead of turning the temp down a bit, it would turn the elements off completely leaving pancakes not done enough to cook. Of course when I reset it by turning the dial to off, unplugging and replugging everything in, it would over-heat the temp again and burn the already partially baked second batch too. This $40 griddle lasted me 4 months before starting to have this issue. After the first incident of this happening, I started with lower initial temps trying to salvage the product and still had the same issue. Starting at 250/275/300 still burned things. 2 more months later and I realize it’s garbage. Now it’s not eligible to be returned. Loved it at first, but never again wasting money on an Oster griddle.
Worked great! Loved it. Only used nonstick tools . Made pancakes. Crystals were on pancakes like griddle decomposed Made in different pan and pancakes were fine. Would like this exchanged for new.
The front trim was broken out of the box, and there are extreme hot spots of uneven cooking. Returned after one use, will find similar product from another manufacturer.
