Oster Party Blender with XL 8-Cup Capacity Jar and Blend-N-Go Cup

I made homemade soup the other day and forgot that I threw out the old blender weeks prior. This was bought as a quick replacement because I had company on the way over for dinner. Took it out of the box, blended the soup and was able to serve w/in the hour. It blended the soup perfectly w/out any clumps. Also, the price was so on. My only complaint was the base was made of light plastic but the jar was heavy glass which i was looking for.

I bought this one to replace a similar model that I had for many years. It works just as well or better. It is excellent for making smoothies and also for pesto.

Great blender! I've used it daily for several months now. It's easy to clean, doesn't leak at all, and I love the All-Metal Drive (my last blender had plastic components that broke off into my drink - this one takes that worry away!). I mostly use it for frozen fruit smoothies, but it has also worked great with breaking up ice and blending chunky sauces.

love the push buttons. Thick sturdy, glass extra large pitcher. Strong, powerful motor. I can use my pitcher and processor from my original 30 year old Oster blender that finally died... Bonus travel smoothie cup is pretty chintzy but it is a free 'bonus'. Still an affordable top notch blender.

Had an expensive blender, lid broke was hard to order replacement and when I received it part was not attached and I did not want to glue it in as it's for food items. Decided to try a less expensive model that provided complete dishwasher safe components, and this is the one I choose. Works great and it came with some instructions that will help making my smoothies easier going forward. Was surprised by the power and ease of use including cleanup, it's early on in the usage process but as of now I am happy with the investment.

I don't know if this is a good or bad thing, really... I wanted a normal blender but this is more of a smoothie machine. It's nice but I don't need everything slipping through the strainer. I slipped up on this order.

I like the fact the mixer jar is glass. It does blend well, but does have a harder time with the frozen fruits (berries) that I use for smoothies. I would recommend thawing your fruit/items out before adding to blender, because it does bog down and you can smell the motor getting hot. I would suggest to the manufacturer a stronger better wound motor, the previous same brand I had lasted 30 years. I hope this one does to, but from the smell of it, I doubt it. Blending veggies and liquids is perfectly fine.

The blender works very well. I use it for my shakes in which I put a lot of frozen fruit in them. The blades, although small, are very effective. The base is light but the bowl is glass and sturdy. By first look, one would not think it would work so well, but it does, so if you are looking for an inexpensive blender, this is a good choice.

Do Not Buy From Oster or Walmart; find a different store/brand! The new Oster blender I received came with lid that had wrong dimensions, therefore didn’t fit on glass jar. Very bad product defect, should be fixed soon.

-Came with no instruction manual -Looked like a previous return -Blender cup does not lock into the machine -Paper thin washer that does not sit securely -I see why I had so many bad reviews I decided not to even give it a try. I just returned it. -Poorly made, poorly manufactured, poorly designed, and poorly distributed -the worst I’ve bought so far!
