OtterBox Defender Series Case for Galaxy S9, Realtree Xtra

Bought this case again for my s9 after having this type of case for my s8. A great case that protected my phone completely even after several times of being dropped. Would highly recommend. Just don't buy the alpha glass to go with it. Dropped phone once and alpha glass screen protector just fell off and broke. Not happy especially as not cheap.

This is the third Otter box I've had for my last three Samsung phones and they're perfect for me and my job. I'm a plumber and so it gets a lot of abuse and none of them have let me down.

I bought this for my girlfriend since she dropped her phone and almost broke it. She is a little clumsy sometimes. She loved the color and her phone remains undamaged. She dropped her phone yesterday and No Damage! Like the holster as well for working out our when she is cleaning around the house

I broke my neck and now have a very weak arm. I drop my phones all the time! Only my Otterbox saves my phone!

I bought this case because of the durability and protection I received when I used a Defender with my S7. I love that they have made it slimmer which is easier for me to handle. With my clumsy hands and 2 little kids I know my phone will be safe when its dropped. The only draw back to this case is how stiff the cover for the charging port is. I had issues with my last phone, the cover rested on the cable and caused the cable to eventually not connect properly in the phone. This resulted in me having to buy new charging cables. Another solution was for me to remove the rubber casing when charging my phone which caused it to stretch out and in the end not fit well. I am hoping this will not happen but seems to already be affecting how the cable sits in the phone when being charged. (I set my phone flat on the table to charge so there is no unnecessary bending or angles to the cable other than the pressure from the case)

I have only had this S9 defender case for 1 month, so far so good. Something has changed from my previous S4 defender case. The durometer (rubber softness) of the exterior case is much harder than previous defender. This at times makes it difficult to release tab for power cord jack. Perhaps overtime as this gets cycled the tab will become more friendly. Overall I would expect same durability of my last case,3 years.

Love the color. It compliments my lilac S9. I was afraid I would end up with a case that would hide the color. I don't give it 5 stars as I wish it would have come with a screen protector. It does add a little bulk to the phone but it make it easier to hold on to. I like the fact that the holster clip also serves as a stand.

I bought this case as i have had many otterbox's before. Ive always liked the cases and style but very annoyed to find they no longer offered a case with a solid front. I decided that it was worth a try. Its a fantastic case with great grip and fits comfortably in your hand. Lightweight and no overly bulky. Worth every penny

I just upgraded my S3 to an S9 . My S3 lived it whole life in an Defender series case ..to this day that phone still looks almost brand new .(great case). When I bought the S9 I ordered another Defender thinking it would be the same design but that's not the case for this model ..not happy about the open face style case but about the only option if you want a holster to store your phone. To sum it up the case does fit the phone well ..just not happy with exposed glass and I don't want alpha glass either! Phone fitment into holster is a wrestling match to get it in correctly and puts a lot of pressure on the phone to get in so that does not get used now... sorry Otterbox you dropped the ball on the case for this great phone.

Unfortunatly, with samsungs curved screens (which also serve no useful purpose) the case doesn't have a screen protector built into it. On my last phone (Galexy S6) the plastic cover saved my phone countless times. I have had my phone a little over a month and one corner of the screen is scratched beyond belief. I even put a glass screen protector on it -- the plastic one was far better than any other I have ever come across. I wish they could figure out how to put the plastic back in it.
