OXO 3-in-1 Avocado Slicer, Avocado Cutter, Pit Remover & Fruit Slicer, Green

This was purchased as a replacement for one given to me as a gift. I had the other one for years and since it worked so well, I wanted the same one. I make a lot of guacamole so this gets a lot of use. It's great for removing the pit and scooping out the meat of the avocado. A very useful tool.

I have been eating avocados for years but I didn't even think about a tool that would help cut it open, remove the pit and scoop out slices. I saw this at Walmart and just had to give it a try. And it works amazingly well. It is so much easier, and safer, to slice open the avocado and now removing the pit is easy and also much safer. The scooper is fine but I just like to scoop with a spoon. Easy to clean, too. A fantastic product.

I know this item is listed as an avocado slicer, but on a whim, I tried using it to cut our kiwi fruit. My gosh, this tool worked great! This tool also works great for the intended use of cutting our avocados:)

Your avocado has to be the perfect shape and size for this to work without smashing the meat.

I can use a knife, before I can use this. Not that handy in my opinion.
