GORILLA GRIP Mortar and Pestle Set 100% Granite Stone Molcajete Guacamole Bowl 1.5 Cup Gray

Difficult to rate this beautiful mortar and pestle. It is wrapped and sitting under our Christmas tree. It's a gift for our son. Nonetheless, I can tell you it is made of a lovely deep gray granite, has a non-slip ring on the bottom and is very heavy. After the holidays, I can give a more detailed review.

The Molcajete Bowl is awesome. I received it about 2 hours ago. I 1st used it to grind up some fresh mint, herbs and garlic. Then I used it for guacamole spices. It cleans super easy, is fun to use, and is aesthetically appealing. I like it. I was impressed at how well it was packaged. The original box had Styrofoam and the shipping box had the original box surrounded by inflated sheets. no damage.

I bought this for a family member to put a smile on there face. I was taken back when I was told and sent a picture of what the product really looked like. It is NOT crystal and was a plastic thin piece of paper basically. Talk about embarrassing . We live in 2 different states

This mortar and pestle are such a beautiful addition to my kitchen. It is beautifully made! The pestle feels so nice in my hands and I love using it! I was able to grind about a 5 gallon bucket worth of roasted kukui nuts in no time. Excellent buy! Highly recommend. Looking forward to using it again and again.

I love these, a great way to grind your spices and keep them fresh for your recipes, my grandmother used these through her 60's (arthritis) and her meals always tasted so bright and flavorful.

this item was amazing . you have to season the pestle . it comes with the rubber bottom you put on and instructions on how to season it . it's pure stone .and on the heavy side .

Extremely happy with the weight and size of this mortar and pestle. Grinds spices and herbs nicely. No complaints here. Also comes with a pad you can stick on the bottom of the mortar preventing any kind of slippage. Would 100 percent buy again, or as a gift.

Fresh grind your whole cloves and whole allspice with this mortar and pestle. Sift through fine mesh strainer. You want 1 1/2 tea spoons of each powder. Add 3 table spoons ground cinnamon, 2 tea spoons each ground ginger and ground nutmeg. Now you have super pumpkin spice. Follow directions on pumpkin can. You will end up on permanent pumkin pie duty!

Don't know much about mortars and pestles, but this seems pretty good. I was able to crush some fennel seeds pretty easily. It seems like real granite. Shipping was very fast.

I had to get garlic cloves as part of the seasoning process and the pestle handle needs some padding to soften its impact on the hand when grinding. Also, I didn't have white rice and found that brown rice may be more difficult to grind. I still have not used it on food. I bought it to be used at restaurants until I get new teeth.
