OXO Softworks Nylon 12-inch Food Tongs with Locking Handle

I bought it for an unusual purpose. I use it to retrieve those small items that end up at the bottom of the washing machine because I don't have the flexibility to hang over the edge as I once used to. The silicone ends mean I don't scrape the washing machine tub, nor do I put tears and pulls in my clothes.

I've had OXO 9" tongs for 20 years and it finally got damaged by heat enough to melt the plastic in an unsafe way, so I purchased this as a replacement. It's perfect. The updated design is pretty much exactly the same except the edge is now plastic instead of all metal. Works great. Very good value for the money.

Don't waste time and money on cheap tongs. Oxo is the way to go

Oxo never disappoints you

I'm so glad that OXO makes a nylon head tong that doesn't scratch my non stick pans. Like all OXO products, it's comfortable to use and extremely durable. It locks folded for easy storage. It doesn't rust like other brands and keeps it's shape, which other brands tend to go out of alignment with time. I put mine in the dishwasher vertically to clean them. And it's reasonably priced as well!

The nylon heads are great because they don't scratch the pan, and the addition of the nylon grips on the tong handles help it from sliding anywhere while it's resting on the pan handle. And while the nylon grip on the pull tab was good for gripping the tab, it fell off after a few uses :(

The product is overpriced. The item is smaller than the average tongs. Not exactly what I was expecting
