Ozark Trail 1-Person Backpacking Tent with Large Door for Easy Entry, Carry Weight-4.4lbs.

For the price, I don't think this tent can be beat. Sure there are a few things that could be better, but it's an amazing bargain at $20. I replaced the steel tent stakes with aluminum ones %26 honestly you can pitch this tent with only 2 stakes under most conditions. Great for the beginning backpacker. If you hike a lot, you'll probably upgrade anyway.

A very nice budget tent that's pretty easy to setup and take down. The only issue is the universal "how do I get the tent back in this tiny bag" problem. Removing the rainfly from the bundle and storing it in another small bag seems to fix the problem, but a slightly larger tent bag would've been nice, too.

Okay this tent way exceeded my expectations! It is so nice! The directions are sewn into the bag and very easy to follow. I like how the poles are color coded. It's so simple to set up. It is very sturdy and also fits a twin size air mattress very comfortably with room to spare for a backpack and shoes. I like how it has two giant pockets to put cell phone, books, etc and a place to hang a light. Also, My teenage son who is almost 6 ft tall fits very comfortably in it with room to spare. The tent stakes that come with it are crazy thick and very long. I have 7 tents all together, ranging from 14 person down to this one person tent and these are the best tent stakes out of all the tents I have. Don't know how waterproof it is. I always take a tarp because even the waterproof ones can sometimes leak, but all around I would say this is a fantastic tent! We set it up in our living room and it's been up for about 2 weeks and my son just loves it! I've tried it out I think it's pretty awesome as well! Can't wait to take it camping this June and many more times after that. Very lightweight. Nice bag. Would be great for backpacking or for your teenager who doesn't want to be in the same tent with his parents lol.

i got this tent for a quick camping trip and i never expected to use it again but it is just a very good tent. the stakes are thick so the wont bend it is very easy to set up and it has alot of airflow.

Little small if your tall. I'm 6,1 and when laying in this tent I cant use the pocket on the side my head is because It will sag and just be laying on my head all night. I also wish the vestibule was more then basically nothing. You can slide your shoes up against the tent that's about it. But overall seems like a decent tent! I may get a different one do to the sizing issue but that's just me.

I've camped out in this tent now 4 nights total and can say its worked pretty well. One night had heavy rain and another light. Also during almost freezing point weather with frost on the rain fly and strong winds. All this being said: I stayed dry and the spikes held the rainfly out and over the tent. Theres 2 sets of poles with color coded clips. Setup for an experienced camper takes about 5 minutes and taking down and repacking takes about the same. Its very light and easy to carry as well. Its 7 feet long and 4 feet wide so as a 5'10 person I could comfortable lay down and have my gear in the tent below my feet. Overall its a great 1-man and a good buy.

A standard twin mattress is 3 feet 2 inches wide by 6 feet 3 inches long. This tent claims to be 7ft by 4ft. A twin mattress could barely be fit and stretched it to its max. With that said, the material is high quality and if you're using a cot or sleeping bag this would for sure fit one person assuming they are shorter than 6ft tall. The height of the tent is maybe a foot and a half so definitely not for anyone claustrophobic.

They have changed the quality of these over the years and now there's less plastic in the zippers and they don't last as long if you go camping more than just a few times the zipper will do that thing where it opens up the wrong way. It is also not anywhere close to rain proof.

This was not a great tent. Maybe in clear, warm weather, but otherwise, no. the rain cover doesn't fit and doesn't cover the front flap at all. Pitching the actual tent was easy, and room for the one person, but it rained on this camping trip. I was soaked, the water poured into it!! I'm returning. I regret this purchase. It ruined my trip.

really needed this for a camping trip but poles are missing and I guess its also supposed to have tent stakes which arent there. the stakes are no big deal but no poles to keep tent upright is the issue
