I wanted the big light for myself. I gave the 3 smaller lights to my grand kids for Christmas. I love mine. I had to mark each of the kids with colored nail polish so there wouldn't be any confusion as to whose was whose when they got together. I see camping trips in their futures.

I like a flashlight I bought one from company before a bigger one and I liked it and I had a smaller flashlight that I bought at a drugstore and it wasn't working properly so I remember these and I said I like them so three in a pack can't beat that so I bought them love them. Everybody should buy them. Thank you.

ok, THIS is the genuine article, not the cheap knockoffs, which I have mistakenly bought in the past (and some of the ones with the green button were a total waste of money.) got these to replace mine, which was 10 years old and still in excellent condition, despite many drops and much use (near daily.) the orange power button material never cracked. and the battery pack/ cartridge (where the 3 AAAs fit into the slots in this part,) never was loose, so no connection/flicker issues at all. I just couldn't find it, so I ended up replacing mine (it sad to lose something special, it was a gift from a missed loved one,) but now at least I have the right replacement, another one for the glove compartment, and the other for the nail right NEXT to the nail I put behind the front door to ALWAYS use for my keys, and I never lose them since I started doing this. Good to be able to find keys and flashlight on proprietary spot, especially in an emergency, even in the dark. I hope this helps someone.

We set out to buy a pack of small flashlights just to have by our exterior doors. We were not prepared for how awesome these flashlights are! You can have a direct stream of light, or change the beam to a wider path to light up a bigger area - with just a quick two finger move. If you are looking for a flashlight for your car to have in emergencies - this flashlight has a strobe type flashing option to attract more attention. Just buy these - they are a huge value for not a big cost.

Wonderful for power outages. I put one of the small ones in each bedroom %26 bathroom. When the power goes out you just pop it open and have light in every room. I use the larger size for living room, kitchen, etc. Can easily be hung from a ceiling fan or other light fixture for instant light when power is out.

I haven't had much luck with flashlights from Walmart through the years. on this purchase, two of the three lights are quirky when changing light functions. But, these compact lights work well enough, and seem well-made, to justify the rating I gave them. The light output is insane! I'm thinking of buying three more!

We used this item just yesterday when our electricity went out. The lantern gave good light, a bit too bright to look directly into it so put it somewhere you don't have to do so. I can't review the battery life as we just got the lanterns. I am pleased. I think it gives good value for the price.

Like the title says total junk. Believe the reviews on this one. Biggest waste of money I have ever spent. Brand new energizer batteries lasted all of 15 minutes. Didn't even turn it on to the high setting and it was still that bad. Threw the other two in the trash. I can't believe Walmart would sell such junk

I chose to purchase THESE lanterns based on the outstanding reputation of Bell %26 Howell over many years. The lanterns are quite small, however the brightness of the lanterns was VERY disappointing! They provided light which is VERY DIM, extending in the dark to an area, at best, extending approximately 1 foot in circumference from me. The light was SO DIM that I doubt that it could be seen by anyone in close proximity. I am CERTAIN that it would be difficult for anyone to be able to see me! In fact, I left the lanter ON for ONE WEEK and the light was STILL ON, but still so dim that I had to look from inches away to be certain that it was still on! THIS ITEM IS NOT WHAT I AM ABLE TO USE FOR ANYTHING! (except MAYBE AS A PAPERWEIGHT).

Super fragile. One fumble and it's broken. I bought for camping and this item would get crushed in the gear bag and be useless. My kid accidentally dropped one from ~18" over our floating floor (we've accidently dropped glasses without them breaking) and this light was unsalvageable. They are bright and easily adjustable, just don't drop it. Camping/survival gear should be made tougher.
