Great Soup Pot
This is a beautiful Dutch oven, holds a good amount and looks like it will last a lifetime. It is heavier than I expected. It is called lightweight cast iron, but it does weigh at least six pounds. I look forward to putting it to good use for many years.

This is the greatest Cast Iron, light weight makes it so easy to wash and a little bit of oil returns it to looking new!

Nice quality for the price. Heats evenly. Lid has a good, solid fit. Easy cleanup and care. Highly recommend.

Black finish into food…?
When I used a white towel dry it after washing, there were black smudges on the towel. The black finish of the pot was rubbing off onto my towel. I assume the black finish is also coming off into what ever is being cooked.

this is an excellent dutch oven. it's a lot lighter than typical cast iron which I appreciate greatly. it heats quick and even, no hot/cold spots. the price was good too. i definitely recommend this

I needed something big and secure to store rice that wasn't plastic or easily breakable glass. This works! Plus it has additional utility for cooking if I ever need.

Thought it was good until it wasn't
We took great pride in this pot but after one use the black started to come off and rust started to appear on it. Next thing I know the lid was covered in rust.
