Highly quality outdoor gear, the size is lil bigger than others, please check if you have a correct size of tent first.
I had cheaper models to choose from, but I thought this Ozark Trail cot with raised backrest looked more durable. Not like a 'lawn'chaise'. I used it on a recent camping trip. It was just as I'd hoped. I could read in bed and be able to lower the backrest without getting out of bed to do so (which would wake me back up). It was easy to set up and fold back down. It takes up a bit of room in my car, but I am okay with that as a requirement of having a good sturdy cot. It was comfortable to lay on. I did use my sleeping pad to add some cushiness. I would definitely recommend this cot. Note: I already have an EZ Fold cot. I do like that, but missed the fact that it has no raised backrest.
Loved this cot, was do nice and comfortable and inloved the adjustable head of the cot, it made it so nice for reading or adjusting it at night for a more comfortable nights sleep. the material was nice and heavy duty and it eas easy to set up and break down.
The cot seems well built and is sturdy. It is heavy so if you are car camping you won't want to carry it far from your car. The width dimension makes it seem as though the usable sleep surface should be wider than it actually is. From the inside of each bar it is about 27.5" wide (their total width comes from the feet of the base). The actual usable sleep surface width is maybe about 26" wide assuming you don't want your hands touching the bars on the sides. For some people this may work well, and for others it might not. I decided to lay on it backwards (with my head where the feet are "supposed" to be and my feet where the head is "supposed" to be. Just because the head section does not fold completely flat. The bar is intentionally bent for the head section.
I slept very comfortably on this cot for 3 nights with no additional camp pad. It is on the heavy side compared to a more basic fold-in-half cot. The legs interfere with being able to store boxes or bags underneath, which may be a consideration for some. The only thing that drove me really nuts is the head part that raises up will flip up uncontrollably and whack you in the head if you put pressure near the crease where it folds, such as if you're trying to scooch up on the cot and you're forearm lands in that area. I pegged on the noggin a few times while adjusting my position. I will continue to use, and would recommend, with the above caveats.
I WEIGH 190 POUNDS..it sinks in the middle... I would have to let them know that ...before I recommend.
Item received is 29 inches wide! NOT 33 inches wide. The product received has stretched out and buckling green material. Very disappointed with this product. Would have looked somewhere else for the money I paid for this. Have had 29 inches wide in the past that does not allow me a restful sleep. Am disgusted with this. Looks used dressed up with new packing scotched on!
This cot was covered in two different types of mold. The pocket on the cot had two plastic forks in it and a can of chew and all of it was covered in fuzzy mold. The fabric of the cot was covered in mold and mildew as well. I didn't realize any of this until I got to my campsite. Made for an uncomfortable camping trip. Clearly someone returned a used cot and Walmart made no effort to review the returned item. When it was loaded into my car it had the cardboard around it so I had no idea until I removed the cardboard and opened it up. I wish I could give zero stars.
It was broken upon arrival sent it back and got something else.
seems sturdy but extremely heavy. very impractical for camping.
