I first bought this pair of phones in 2022. These are the best amplified phones I've found. I bought a second set in 2026, not because the first set quit working, but because they are still the best available. A big "THANK YOU" to Panasonic for making such a fine product and continuing to support it.
This was for my mom that has low vision and has hearing aids, plus arthritis. It works great. She can use the speaker phone and set it down and be able to talk comfortably. The only thing is her hearing is so bad she cant hardly hear on the regular phone. But she loves the phone.
A very good high quality product in every way. It's performance is also very good and meets all of our expectations. We puchased the main base phone and one other remote phone w/charger. After installing them we now wish we had ordered another 3rd remote phone w/charger and still may do; so but he price for puchasing one more phone w/charger is $44.00 which seems high compared to the original 2 phone price.
PANASANTIC PHONES ARE AWESOME WE HAD A SET BEFORE AND THIS MODEL IS EVEN BETTER. IT RINGS AND TELLS YOU WHO IS CALLING WITHOUT YOU LOOKING.HAS SO MANY ETRA OPTIONS, YOU WILL LOVE THIS PRODUCT, AND THE PRICE IS RIGHT.
think phones are great for the price clear sound but think volume could be a little louder sence these phones are suppose to be for people with hearing problems... other than that perfect!
Bought this for my sister-in-law who has a hearing problem. She was so pleased with the clear tones and NO background noise when making and receiving calls. She had never tried Panasonic before--she is sold on them now !
I buy Panasonic cordless phones because of past experience. My last phone lasted about 8 years and I finally decided to replace it when the battery was dying and the numbers were worn off! It still worked well! This phone is larger, geared toward the older person or someone who just wants to have large numbers to punch and a larger than usual readout. It works very well and I like to have the 2nd phone in my bedroom. No phone jack is needed for the 2nd phone. I have caller ID and the phone will usually announce the caller but most times it's very hard to understand. I think they used a speaker from another country with an accent! That is the only downside. Sound is very good. I'm satisfied.
I bought this for my 83 year old mother who is experiencing age related hearing loss. (She didn't think she needed a new phone as she didn't want to admit that she was having trouble hearing with her old phone, which is also Panasonic. ) She hesitantly agreed to "try" the new phone. She LOVES it! She hears so well and asks everyone how she sounds. Everyone has told her that the sound is nice and clear, including me! The speaker is loud and clear. I do wish the earpiece volume was a little higher and clearer as it seems to have a hollow sound if you turn it up to full volume. (I have a 9 year old Panasonic KX-TGA601CM 5.8 GHz cordless that has the most amazing sound that I have ever experienced! I wished Panasonic still made this quality! I'm experiencing some battery charging issues so I am going to pay the money to replace the batteries on my three handset cordless rather than purchase a new phone. I think my phone is worth purchasing the batteries!) I would recommend this phone to all. You don't have to be hearing impaired to use it!
I do like the no static or hollow sound when talking like the AT&T cordless phone. The Panasonic item description mentioned it has personal ringtones, I thought it would be for at least 10 individual's, but learned it was only for two groups. One ringtone for each group. The speed dial also is only for three callers. It's a little complicated to program the settings since some of the steps required the # sign along with code numbers. One other thing when the phone is charged the charge light goes out, when I prefer for it to stay on. The extra handset has no light once completely charged. One cool thing is it does has an alarm!! It has 4 tones and 5 Melody's to chose for ringtones. Would I recommend it? If your okay with the complicated codes, yes, I would.
Wish the voice on the answering machine didn't speak broken English!!! Also, the voice doesn't know the name of the states, when abbreviations are listed, and mispronounces almost everything!!!
