Now I don't need to use my cell phone while I am at home. As soon as I pull into the garage, the Panasonic bluetooth phone detects my cell phone. It even announces when I get a text message. No more missed calls or texts. I love my new bluetooth, landline, speakerphone, and 2 cordless handsets Panasonic phone :)
The phone system is perfect. The set up is easy and very user friendly. The numbers are large enough for me to see without my glasses. The volume is loud and the sound quality is clear. I am very pleased with this purchase.
This phone set is fantastic. Its so easy to setup. I paired it with a work cell phone so that my calls to my cell phone ring on my landline when I am working from home. I also downloaded my phonebook from my cell to the handset in seconds. It was painless! You set the date and time on the master handset and the settings carry over to the two portable phones. You can start a call on your cell and pick it up on the handset and vice versa. It also allows you to use a bluetooth handsfree device with it. It does everything you could want it to. I have the main handset in the office and a cordless on each of the floors of my home. Its a perfect office/home combo. I canât stress how simple the setup was. I was expecting a headache but was finished in minutes! Its a beautiful set, and I highly recommend this, especially for anyone looking to work from home.
These are the best phones! I have had a set for a couple of years, and they are exceptional. I just got these as a gift because my mom needed new phones, and I love mine. The blue tooth function works really well with cell phones. You can plug in your cell once you get home, and not use it again until you leave the house. It helps take some of the weight off of the cell phone.
I love this phone. The only complaint I have is that the voice quality could be slightly better. But it's definitely an improvement over my past phone's voice quality. I set up the phone so that it is linked to my cell phone in order to see what those features are like. The only main Link2Cell feature I am so far taking advantage of is the voice message that announces over the handsets whenever a text comes in on my cell phone. It announces "Text message from <whatever their name is listed as in my cell phone." Amazing. I think that ability is the default; I don't think I had to touch any settings to make that happen, not sure. I have shut off the ringer on the handset in my bedroom, while still being able to leave the ringer on at the main base unit and the other handset, both of which are in another room. Maybe any phone can do this, but this was nice... I can just hear a voice announcement in my bedroom without having to hear a ring. But if you do this setup, be prepared to hear a voice out of the blue on whatever headset you turned the ringer volume off at... it can be alarming at first. I tried transferring my cell phone phonebook to the Panasonic, but I kept getting "Error" and didn't take the time to investigate. I've started manually adding contacts, which is simple but time consuming. All in all, a great phone.
The only thing I miss with this answering machine is I could read old one more easily as I walked past & delete or play the messages. But I'm thinking I'll get used to it?!
This is a recent purchase and I haven't yet used most of its features. So far, the features I am using (answering machine, caller ID, blocked numbers, nighttime silence in bedroom, directory) are easy to set up intuitively.
I love the phone and the reason I gave it only 4 stars is because the main phones did not come with batteries and lost power two days after I received it and I was not able to use my phone till I bought batteries. On the cordless handsets it hard to see the numbers at night when watching TV because the keys don't light up well and a short time.
This product was a very easy & simple to hookup.... yet I need to spent more time to learn the function of the handsets.
I like the base unit except the call announcing feature sounds like an alien voice and is often unclear. The two portable phones have a tinny sound, so I prefer to use the base unit. There are a number of features I do not bother with since they seem too complicated for my aging brain. I do like the easy block feature and the phone number storage capacity though. Overall it is an ok system but I am not completely happy with it.
