Panasonic RF-2400 AM/FM AC/DC Portable Radio

I am happy with the Panasonic radio because it has batteries and a plug in cord so it will last a good while. I use it at night to sleep when my arthritis pain keps me up. Music is great medicine. I did not expect to pay $38.99 for it, but have not bought a radio in a long time. It was over the $25.00 to $30.00 i planned on paying, but I saved money on bus fare and on other Walmart items I ordered online to make up the difference. I do not know if the Tariffs made it more expensive.

Auto Freq. Control works great even on AM. Receives AM and FM both without the need to raise the Antenna from our location. Other radios at this location require the antenna to be raised. The signal to noise ratio is great. LED signal indicator is a nice feature. Simple switches ON-OFF-AM-FM. ONE SWITCH DOES IT ALL. No turning on then finding the AM-FM switch. Panasonic thought of everything. Super great sounding radio at a decent price.... Sony beware.

I got the Panasonic because it has always been a good brand. I'm not disappointed. The dial is easy to fine-tune to get the best reception, the display is easy to read, and the sound is really good on both AM and FM. It keeps me company when I'm working around the house. I also like that I can listen to weather reports or the news when the power is out. For people complaining that it isn't a weather radio, it isn't advertised as such. But, most TV stations have a sister channel on either AM, FM or both where you can hear weather reports during inclement or severe weather. I recommend this product if you want a good quality radio with excellent sound.

Good quality AM/FM radio, good price, runs on electric current or batteries. The original order was damaged by shipping carelessness. Boxes of merchandise often get tossed around, and something inside the radio was broken and rattling. It didn't work. No problem with Walmart. Returning it and receiving a replacement went smoothly. I listen to it daily and if we have a power outage, or I take it somewhere away from an outlet, I can use the batteries.

The Panasonic RF-2400D AM/FM Portable Radio is a great no-frills radio. We were searching for a radio with basic controls: On/Off switch, simple band selector, easy to use volume control, straight-forward tuning knob and large easy to view dial. Other items we were looking for are battery operation as well as AC power operation. This Panasonic radio has met these requirements. The single 4 inch speaker provides very good and clear sound for its size. I recommend this radio for casual everyday use and for severe weather conditions.

Good reception, even on bathroom counter. Good speaker. Nicely compact design. I only wish it had "presets" for individual stations. Having to turn the dial and try to remember exactly where for example station NPR or KCBS is located on the dial is a nuisance.

Analog tuner display makes no sense. Can't tell which line the numbers go with. So you have to guess where your station is, get a reception near to your guess, then listen until you know if it's on your station. If not, either search up or down, or wait until the station identifies its frequency, then adjust. Very lazy and sloppy design. Otherwise, works as expected.

Walmart, you need to choose your delivery service better. FedEx was terrible, the delivery driver lied about where they dropped it off, and they were notified about this awful service. As far as the radio goes: it arrived in one piece, the tuning appears to be sensitive (which is critical for an analog tuner), the speaker is impressive for an AM/FM radio. The appearance is modern, and the plastic casing remains to be seen, as it doesn't feel too strong,

Put brand new batteries into brand new radio -didn't last a day . Useless in bad weather when electricity goes out. Difficult to tune into station; poor reception.

I never received the radio. I don't know where Fed-X delivered it but it wasn't at my house. I was home when I got a package from Sam's delivered that same day. I asked about Radio but it was not on delivery truck. How can I return radio for refund when I never got the radio. There should be a picture showing where it was delivered, but I have not found the picture.
