The texture is rich but not too heavy, and it spreads easily through my hair. After rinsing, my hair feels hydrated, easier to detangle, and looks healthier with a nice shine. One of my favorite deep conditioners from my childhood. It is great for my thick and course frizzy, black straight, short hair. This conditioner smells like vanilla and coconuts with some hidden white flowers scent. It doesn't leave my hair greasy or dry after the shower. It does leave my thick hair moisturized and hydrated for days until my next shower. It is much better than the regular Pantene conditioner. It's great for thicker and courser straight to curly hair types. It does also smooth and hydrate my frizzy, wiry, dehydrated hair. I know my hair needs a lot of moisture when it's very dry and rough. This deep conditioner by Pantene works better than the regular conditioner for my hair. Pantene is one of my favorite hair care brands and the cheap Suave brand also works for my hair. If my hair is a still little bit dry than I will combine this deep conditioner with a leave in conditioner by Pantene and a little castor oil or hair serum which locks in more moisture to my hair. I tried conditioners and hair masks from different brands. They don't work for my super dry hair so I had to go back to my old Pantene brand again

I was expecting a thick, intense mask that would make my hair soft enough to derangement the shower- like Pantene used to sell. What I ended up with was a medium thick lotion-feeling conditioner with gold beads. It also had a very strong coconut/cocoa butter smell, which was a huge disappointment to me, because that's usually one of my favorite things about Pantene products- the fresh, not fruity- scent. It did leave my wet hair easier to detangle without needing a leave-n conditioning spray. However, it left my hair feeling a little weighed down and greasy looking.
