Paper Mate Clearpoint Color Lead Mechanical Pencils, 0.7mm, Assorted Colors, 6 Count

I first bought these color mechanical pencils at Target and instantly loved them. The lead was impressively strong, and they quickly became my go-to pencils. Unfortunately, when I went back to buy more lead, the stock was very limited, and soon after, these pencils were gone from the shelves, never to be seen again. I don't understand why they stopped selling them, but I really miss them. The eraser could be a bit problematic at times, but it wasn't a major issue. As someone who loves pens and pencils, these just worked perfectly for me. I hate that I had to spend a lot to get more of them.

I love these to color coordinate note taking. They are very vibrant colors, smooth glide when you are writing. I have used other pencils in the past and the lead breaks very easily, the lead in these pencils are strong. I just don't like that there is not a a package with all colors with replacement lead. And the pink, purple and orange have been hard to find. So it's easier and cheaper to just buy the pencils again.

This set was everything it said it would be, almost. My set came with only 5 out of the 6 pencils (missing purple), so I made a claim and have had no response from the seller. Incomplete package pitiful customer service= 3 star.

I love the concept of the colored pencils. They are easy to handle, write, and erase. However, please be aware that you will only get one or two leads in the pencil itself and it seems to be difficult to find refill for the pink, orange, and purple pencils for this manufacture. So when you order, go ahead and order the blue, green, and red refills. If you have to do a lot of writing or a project you will not have enough lead to complete your task.

So very disappointed in these pencils. The very first pencil I tried to use wouldn't work--I couldn't get the lead to come out of it. My husband worked with it for a while, and it eventually worked. The leads broke easily. I used them primarily for Word Searches. I wasn't putting excess pressure on them so that couldn't be the reason for them to break so easily. I simply put a line through the words. Usually Paper Mate is a reliable brand to buy, but this product was not up to their usual standard. One major reason I bought this product was because they had lead refills to buy. I'm glad I didn't buy any refills at the time I purchased the pencils. I will never buy these pencils again.
