i don't know about anyone else but when my ice maker in my fridge broke, I was devastated! i had no idea how much i used ice just on a daily basis. so when i got on Walmart and started looking around,i really didn't know exactly what I was looking for. there's so many brands out there, different kinds of ice. i just wanted something i knew wouldn't break after one or two days. i know a lot of celebrities jump on that brand bandwagon so when I came across this particular ice mak
Great (and pretty) little ice maker. My freezers ice maker broke, and it was less expensive to but this than repair the freezer. So I spend about a day every week making ice and the stocking my freezer dispenser. The ice cubes do come out very wet, so they'll freeze together if you're putting them right into freezer's ice bin. I freeze the in a separate container, then break them apart and fill the ice maker dispenser. They do work fine right out of the pretty ice maker, but they're soft and melt rather quickly. The dog loves them, though! Only complaint would be how loud it is.
This was my first table-top icemaker. I chose it because it was very decently priced, it appeared to be more for a 1-person household, and it was the Paris Hilton brand which I have never been disappointed by. This machine is so easy to use - right out of the box. I cleaned it and plugged it in. I put two 16 oz. bottles of purified water in the reservoir, and it made up a bunch of ice using all the water in about 2.5 hours. I should probably have used cold water but didn't think of it. It's like a set it and forget it kind of thing. I check it every so often for when the basket gets filled so I can transfer the ice to the freezer. I did not know the machine would not keep it cold. Instructions say to transfer to freezer. I don't know if any table-top icemakers do that. I just assumed; I guess. So, the machine is very easy to operate. Price is great. Easy to clean. Pretty pink color looks good in my kitchen. It is noisy at times but only when it is spitting up some ice. I say it's a great starter machine and would work great for 1-2 person households especially.
I've been wanting an ice maker for a while, and discovering a pink one on sale was too good to pass up. I live in an apartment in an area not known for it's quality water, so I am pleased that this doesn't have to be connected to a water source. I just pour in a bottle or two of my favorite water and plug it up. The first time you use it, you'll have to run the clean cycle and make a few batches of ice that you throw out, but, after that, it's great. There's even a basket and scoop. I put the ice in a ziploc bag and put it in the freezer until I'm ready for something frozen. Having been deprived of ice for a good while now, I'm very pleased with it so far. :) It's so simple to use.
Love how quick it produced ice. The basket is very small so it fills up fast but you can always transfer it to the freezer once they drop. I don't like how the ice is not as solid as it should be, it melts and when you put the ice in a bowl to put in the freezer, they all freeze together bc it's melting
at first it was really good. the best one I ever had I've had three more I think. but I decided to clean it because. the ice was getting a little off taste ran it through the cleaning cycle and the whole thing went crazy it's been going crazy for 24 hours. use this one with caution I don't know what to say about cleaning cycle but just don't use it... but the ice cubes are real good to eat.
Wish the Ice Machine was better than it actually is, the ice melts really fast after it's done making it, the process of making the ice takes longer than expected. The product only holds very little ice not enough storage to hold the ice, when it's done. Has a small Basket to hold the ice, once that basket is half way it says “Ice Full” For it being a “Paris Hilton” ice machine, definitely should have been better quality.
This machine stopped working completely after 2 days. The machine shows the blinking green power light. Per instructions this means it's in a cleaning type mode. No matter what is done the machine will not power up and only the green light keeps blinking. Purchased the extended warranty to cover replacements, however I'm only being offered a refund. **Consider carefully before purchasing.**
Only worked for less than 4 months! Constantly runs yet stopped producing ice! It puts out 1 1/2 pieces right now after only 4 months of use! Scared it will set my house on fire due to the constant running and trying to produce Ice. I've owned several ice makers and this is a piece of junk!!
I loved this ice maker for 6 months. Easy to use, easy to clean and maintain, made fine ice. However, this month, I noticed red and black specks in the water reservoir. Finally discovered the water tray at the top where ice is frozen is cracked at the area where the motor to turn the tray is attached. So water is getting through to metal parts which are rusting and rust is dripping back down into the water reservoir. Walmart will not replace it at this point, and the email given in the user manual to claim the warranty is no good.
