It is a very good harness for the price and pretty adjustable, and really like the handle for picking up the pup, but it runs kinda large. I re-ordered a small hoping it would fit better but the small is just too tight so I'm keeping the medium for a backup. I will look for another one that is a better fit. It would be great if it were a little more adjustable. It looks nice and seems to be well made. Just wish I could make the medium a little more snug on him. It loosens up a little bit with him wearing it. Otherwise, if it fits your dog you will probably enjoy using it! My pup is actually a small dog with a little larger chest than other smaller dogs so that's probably why.
Great quality nice color. I ordered a large which my dog could've used a medium, but the large was OK because I could make it smaller to fit my dog. I would order again if needed.
Nice harness but sizes run small. My boy was a little shy of L parameters so I purchased the L. The harness arrived, well packaged and in great condition but was too small. My recommendation is to try one size up first. The XL fits fine but still a little short in the chest for my dog for my liking. Overall good harness for the price.
I don't think the issue is with the product, so much as, Australian Shepherd's are built a bit differently than most dogs. They are barrel-chested, fluff-balls. they are also long, short and stocky. It hasn't been easy to find a proper fitting harness for our dear Freddie. This one was on sale, so we gave it a try. He's about 45-50 lbs, maybe 20 inches at the shoulder, but has a thick chest, thick legs and a long torso. I got a large, and I doubt fred will be able to wear this harness by next year. it sits awkwardly on the front of his chest, and just barely makes it around his thick shoulders, and there is only about an inch of room for his chest to grow, before that part is too snug. It's just not the right harness for an Aussie. otherwise, the material is sturdy. the handle is an excellent feature, as it runs perpendicular to the dogs spine, like a piece of luggage, and gives a good grip. Anyone with a 14 month old Aussie, or other lowslung dogs (example, bulldogs) will understand why that's important. on a small dog, I imagine it would serve for easy lifting in an emergency. One other thing, the Velcro seems to be fraying some of the threads around the seam. Again, I can't honestly say it's a product flaw, and not my rambunctious dog. All in all, would recommend.
It fits my dog but not a strong material. However im using it for training only so that my dog doesn't pull. Even after i adjusted the straps it still would lean to what ever side he pulls from and i had to keep adjusting it to center. The front ring is too low down his chest so the leash hangs down his leg. He is uncomfortable. If I use a shorter leash it probably would be better but i have already too many leashes so im not going to buy a y more.
I measured my Thug. According to their calculations. He is a Large. The design is new. Too many straps. Extended it to max. Still too tight. The XL would have worked Didn't want to risk it. Thug got the hand.me.down vest from Obi. Check the size. Make sure it will fit This one didn't
already broke and I've only had it less than 2 weeks
these dont fit comfortably at all and they arent durable. my dogs chewed the plastic buckle on one up and the strap ripped in half on another. i think its probably because of the terrible uncomfortable fit but they also shouldnt be able to chew it up that fast. theyre crap.
Put it on my dog for him to get use to it. It took less than 15 minutes and it came unhooked. And my dog and his brother to tear it to pieces. So it was in the trash with in half hour
delivered as expected. liked that it has the handle with two hooks. the main issue is the adjustable straps sucks and not placed right because when u try to adjust them it would want to fold witch I believe would be uncomfortable for my family dog. going to return both of them. thanks from Midnight and myself.
