It had been a little more than a lot of years since I last ate boiled peanuts. It was an on a whim purchase, but now they are a pantry staple. A Godzilla movie and a bowl of boiled peanuts for snackin'. I rinse the off in a colander to reduce some of the salty liquid. Love ‘em!
I feel that these boiled peanuts are a little too crunchy. It's because of this that I boil and reduce heat to medium high. I cook them on the stove. I do it for about 45 -55 minutes. They then eat soft and if you drain the cans before you cook them, Then add fresh water. Less salty. It sounds like a lot. I believe it is worth it. This is my favorite snack!
I love this brand of peanuts. I usually put the original peanuts and the hot peanuts together. Heat them for just a little while and you have wonderful boiled peanuts for those of us that are from the south that have moved north. This is a great thing!
These are my favorite peanuts from the south and hard to find. I was absolutely thrilled when I found them on Walmart. Took a few days to arrive but excited that I can have a taste of the south right here in Los Angeles, California. 🥜
It's a southern thang, but I love boiled peanuts and Walmart is the only place I can find them. I drain off liquid, rinse, and microwave them to heat them up. Four stars only because there are a few in every can that are not edible. But I expect that, given that they're mass-produced peanuts. Still, always have a can or two on hand for easy snack - okay, or dinner on more than one occasion.
We love boiled peanuts %26 we always loved Peanut Patch Boiled Peanuts, however the quality has changed. We can understand a few boiled peanuts that are too mushy, under developed, rotten, but these days there are even pieces of the bush in the cans along with twice the number with the flaws I mentioned!! 😕. Not Walmart‘s fault but they are selling them. The quality for these boiled peanuts has diminished a lot.
I love peanuts, peanut butter and all nuts. But not a fan of these. Doesn't mean you wouldn't love them. But they just aren't for me. I am glad I tried them because otherwise I would have never known.
For anyone who likes Boiled Peanuts. I, however, grew up on home boiled green peanuts that were softer, juicier, and saltier. Many days at the beach were spent tending to and tasting a big pot filled with fresh green beans- not to be confused with raw peanuts. No! IMHO As an adult there was no reason to wait for vacation, just any day of the week. Do try them canned if you like, but if you can find green ones, give it a try and choose the saltiness you prefer.
I had no time to tell you no not to switch the product. I tried to do it when I got the text and it wouldn't work. You swapped it out for spicy Cajun, type peanuts, and it should have been just the. Regular. All I order is the regular. The substitutions are just awful
Reason for 1 star:- extremely soft, brine soaked, taste not to my liking. These are all personal reasons. Going to try to dry the peanuts in the oven and give them one last try. Someone else might like them. I'm only one person giving his opinion.
